In Stardew Valley, players can learn five different skills once they start their new lives in the countryside. Among these, fishing is the easiest and most relaxing skill one can learn. All players need to do is grab their fishing rod and head to the valley’s rivers and ponds.
If they’re looking for a particular type of fish, like
Sardine, players will have to put in more effort, as they only come out during certain seasons. Sardines are small, oily fish ranging from 1 to 13 inches in length. They have silvery bodies and are multipurpose fish. This guide covers everything players need to know about catching Sardines and their uses in Stardew Valley.
Stardew Valley: Where to Catch Perch
If you want to go fishing and catch some Perch in Stardew Valley, here is how you can do so.
Where to Catch Sardine
Sardines are common ocean fish and can be caught at The Beach, which is located south of Pelican Town. However, players can only reel in Sardines between the hours of 6 am and 7 pm during Spring, Fall, or Winter seasons.
If players want to quickly catch Sardines without being restricted by season or time of day, they can use the Magic Bait.
Additionally, players who have opted for the Beach Farm layout can easily catch Sardines by fishing on the premises of their farm.
Alternatively, those who don’t want to spend their time fishing can simply purchase Sardines from the Traveling Cart. It appears in the shop randomly and costs anywhere between 120 to 1,000 gold coins. Sardines can also sometimes be found inside Garbage Cans around Pelican Town during Spring, Fall, or Winter seasons.
Uses of Sardine
Since it isn’t ideal to gift fish in Stardew Valley, players can sell Sardines to make some money. The selling price of Sardine varies based on its quality, as mentioned in the table below:
| Quality | Sell Price | Price with Fisher Profession (+25%) | Price with Angler Profession (+50%) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Base | 40 g | 50 g | 60 g |
| Silver | 50 g | 62 g | 75 g |
| Gold | 60 g | 75 g | 90 g |
| Iridium | 80 g | 100 g | 120 g |
Additionally, Sardines can be used to craft Quality Fertilizers or cook a variety of meals, as listed below.
