The Boulder lies northeast of the farm, adjacent to the Mines. Positioned just behind the small bridge to the left of the cavern’s entrance, it stands out with its shimmering purple hue. You encounter this obstacle upon your initial exploration of the Mines’ entrance. However, it remains blocked until you fulfill a particular Community Center Bundle later on.

To clear the Glittering Boulder near the Mines, you need to finish the Fish Tank Bundle. This collection comprises six types of fishing offerings: River, Lake, Ocean, Night, Crab Pot, and Specialty packs. To fulfill the Bundle requirements, you must catch 29 sea creatures and bring them back to the Community Center.

Here’s how to complete each altar:

If you’re playing the game on Remixed Bundles mode, you might have to complete the Quality Fish or Master Fisher’s Bundles to remove the Glittering Boulder.

After demolishing the Boulder, Willy will instruct you on the art of Panning and present you with a complimentary Panning Tool. This tool facilitates the extraction of Ores from water. Although the eradicated Boulder won’t unveil any new pathways, it will prompt random ores to appear in the River and Ocean regions. Keep an eye out for shimmering sections of water to gather these ores.

While Panning won’t yield any unique items, it boasts a high probability of providing free Copper and Iron Ores, ranging from 35% to 40%. However, note that it’s not a reliable mining source as it’s too RNG-reliant. If you want to farm Ores, visiting the Mines is your best bet.
