The blue chickens in Stardew Valley are first introduced during a heart event cutscene with Shane. He reveals that he has been raising the rare blue chickens in Marnie's barn as a passion project, making for a sweet moment between the NPC and player. Many fans have adored the blue chickens for their colorful appearance and connection to Shane, whom the player character can marry in the game, and PrincessCassandra wanted to put their skills to the test in honor of Shane and his blue chickens. The handicraft features a giant blue chicken comprised of fabric squares, held together by an aptly-named "feathering" technique that perfectly mimics the pixelated appearance of the adorable animal.
