A Stardew Valley fan has shared a pair of stunning paintings showing Willy through the window of his fishing shop, and Elliott working on his latest story. The unique artworks have impressed the Stardew Valley community with their charm and clever use of lighting.

Stardew Valley has a simplistic pixel-art style, but that doesn't stop fans from turning it into something more realistic or fantastical via fanart. The nuanced characters, detailed world building, and charming qualities of the game seem to provide endless inspiration for talented artists. Willy, Pelican Town's resident fisherman, gets a little less attention as he's not one of the game's many bachelors, but he nonetheless plays a role in the farmer's progression, introducing them to fishing and providing them with a number of tools from his fishing shop. Meanwhile, Elliott is a popular bachelor among players, and spends most of his days writing in his cabin.

On Reddit, Stardew Valley fan just_a_drawer shared their artwork of Willy, as seen through the window of his fishing shop. The painting makes excellent use of light, with the dark exterior of the fish store partially illuminated by golden light pouring out of the window. Through the window, Willy can be seen sitting and smoking a pipe. The artwork bears some similarities to classic Impressionism pieces, as though the farmer hastily painted what they witnessed after turning the corner at the fishing pier. The artist also shared a second piece after a fan commented on the art, this time showcasing a painting of the Stardew Valley bachelor Elliott in his home, laboring over his writing.

Stardew Valley Fans Love Unique Artworks

Plenty of members of the community have praised the artist for their works, calling the paintings gorgeous, amazing, and cozy. One said that the art reminded them of the art style of Disco Elysium, as well. The artist notes that they frequently drew Stardew Valley about a year ago, but now only do so occasionally. However, just_a_drawer also takes commissions, so fans who want to see their favorite Stardew Valley characters in their art style can inquire with the artist.

Stardew Valley has had a huge impact on its playerbase, and after nearly ten years since its original release, it shows no signs of letting go. Updates to Stardew Valley have come to a stop, at least for the moment, as developer ConcernedApe turns his focus to his next game, Haunted Chocolatier. It remains to be seen if Haunted Chocolatier can have the same lasting impact on players' hearts as Stardew Valley has, but fans are extremely excited and hopeful for ConcernedApe's sophomore effort.
