By default, Star Wars Outlaws is programmed to run at a 21:9 aspect ratio. Some players will no doubt appreciate this, as it can help make the experience feel more like a movie than a video game. However, as most people will probably be playing the game on a 16:9 display, it will mean that they'll need to put up with black bars at the top and bottom of their screen.
All Star Wars Outlaws Platforms
Star Wars Outlaws is available on three platforms at launch, though some may be wondering whether Ubisoft plans to port the game to last-gen consoles.
These black bars probably aren't going to bother ultrawide users too much, nor are they likely to be all that offputting for cinema lovers. However, considering they take up 25% of the screen on a standard 16:9 monitor or television, it's understandable why some players may want to remove the black bars in Star Wars Outlaws. This guide explains how.
How to Remove Star Wars Outlaws Black Bars

To remove the black bars in Star Wars Outlaws players will simply need to go to the Video menu and look for the cinematic display mode option. By default, this should be set to 21:9, but if they change it to the fill screen option, players can remove the black bars and use the full height of their television or monitor. This should make a massive difference for anyone playing on a 16:9 display, but those using an ultrawide monitor may not notice too much of a difference.
How to Limit the Framerate in Star Wars Outlaws
In addition to altering the aspect ratio, Star Wars Outlaws allows PC players to limit the framerate for a smoother experience. This option is configured via the Video menu, with players also able to set a target framerate. Those whose PCs meet the recommended requirements for Star Wars Outlaws shouldn't have to worry too much about these options, but anyone experiencing stuttering or framerate spikes should definitely consider enabling the frame rate limiter.
