Durasteel is a common upgrade material in Star Wars Outlaws and is the base material that makes up the Trailblazer's hull. Durasteel will be one of the most numerous resources players will need to get their ship fully upgraded, which is crucial to winning space battles which get progressively harder throughout the game, along with the main story missions tied to using your ship.

Durasteel will also be a common resource needed for your speeder, which is the key method for getting around the large maps of each planet. Durasteel doesn't have a straightforward farming method like Quadanium, but large amounts can still be obtained for those who know where to look.

How To Get Durasteel In Star Wars Outlaws

There are only three main methods to get Durasteel in Star Wars Outlaws:

Looting piles of scrap.
Looting chests.
Purchasing from merchants.

The cheapest way to get Durasteel is by focusing on completing main or side missions, as specific locations like those in a mission will often have piles of scraps for players to loot. These piles of scrap vary in how they look and also what is looted from them, through Durasteel is a common item to get. It's also worthwhile to explore faction strongholds or Imperial bases as these locations often have piles of scrap to loot and chests to unlock.

The lockpicking minigame can be disabled in the settings for the game to make looting much faster, which is helpful when doing so in combat.

Durasteel can also be purchased from various merchants such as Smugglers, Scavengers, and Survivalists. Even without factoring in your reputation with a merchant's faction, Durasteel isn't a cheap resource and usually costs 75 credits. The cost of Durasteel can quickly add up, but deep pockets are the key to farming large amounts of Durasteel fast.

Best Durasteel Farming Method In Star Wars Outlaws

While it will cost a lot, the best and most reliable method for getting Durasteel is by purchasing it from merchants. To make getting Durasteel easier, focus on buying it from a planet where you have a good reputation with multiple merchants that sell it. After buying out every merchant on that planet for a discounted price, get in your ship and go to space before immediately returning to make the merchant's stock refresh. This method may be tedious, but it will allow you to get as much Durasteel as you can buy quickly.
