The False Flag mission is given to Star Wars Outlaws players by a Crimson Dawn member named Eleera. The initial plan is to infiltrate an Imperial ship and delete some data to frame the Pykes. However, as Kay and Nix make their way toward the data vault, Waka suggests that the intrepid explorer double-crosses Eleera and frames Crimson Dawn instead.
All Major Choices and Consequences in Star Wars Outlaws
Players will need to make a lot of big choices in Star Wars Outlaws, many of which will have an impact on Kay's relationship with the game's factions.
When they finally arrive at the data vault, Star Wars Outlaws players will be asked whether they want to frame Crimson Dawn or the Pykes. Although the promise of a big reward from Gorak seems mighty appealing, players should think carefully about their decision, as it has the potential to make an upcoming part of the game a bit more challenging.
Should You Frame Crimson Dawn or Frame the Pykes?
From a story perspective, it doesn't really matter whether players choose to frame Crimson Dawn or the Pykes. However, as with some of the other choices in Star Wars Outlaws, their decision will have an impact on their standing with some of the game's criminal factions. Framing the Pykes will improve Kay's relationship with Crimson Dawn while damaging her reputation with the Pykes. Framing Crimson Dawn will improve Kay's standing with the Pykes, but damage her relationship with Crimson Dawn.
Although there are plenty of other ways to improve Kay's reputation later on, there's a strong argument to be made for making choices that improve Kay's relationship with Crimson Dawn during the early stages of the game. This is because the quest associated with one of the Experts in Star Wars Outlaws can only be triggered from a restricted area within the Crimson Dawn base in Mirogana. Being in good standing with Crimson Dawn will therefore minimize the amount of sneaking that players need to do in order to meet the Slicer.
That said, it's possible to meet the Slicer while still having a poor relationship with Crimson Dawn, and unless their standing with the faction is excellent, players will still need to do a bit of sneaking to get into the restricted area. With that in mind, those who enjoy stealth-based gameplay may want to choose to frame Crimson Dawn for the extra challenge, particularly if they already started to build a working relationship with the Pykes during the Underworld quest.
