How to Start the Counterfeit Credits Quest

Location: Pyke Syndicate District (Mirogana)

Speak with the Pyke sitting alone at the Pyke Syndicate headquarters in Mirogana. He is positioned next to Roba Barev, the syndicate’s contract broker. He will provide you with intel on the Market Trader. Your next task is to find the trader in the marketplace who has been distributing counterfeit credits.

How to Find the Market Trader

Location: Mirogana Market District

In the Mirogana Market District, locate the merchant named Hen Puon. Sell him one of your junk items, and he will pay you with counterfeit credits. This will allow you to catch him red-handed and interrogate him about the source of the fake money. Hen Puon will then provide you with intel on Soup Kitchen, the mysterious origin of these counterfeit credits.

How to Get into the Soup Kitchen

Location: Crimson Dawn District (Mirogana)

The Soup Kitchen is the codename for Crimson Dawn’s Vault in Mirogana. To access it, infiltrate the syndicate’s district and find a way into the basement. Specifically, use Nix to disable the giant fan, then climb down the ladder behind it to enter the so-called Soup Kitchen.

If you have a poor reputation with Crimson Dawn, you’ll need to enter the building through the vents. There’s one near the entrance that leads directly into the restricted area. Alternatively, you could bypass the two guards stationed at the kitchen’s entrance and use the backdoor to access the Soup Kitchen. However, this latter approach is riskier and could result in getting caught more easily.

You must remain undetected throughout the entire objective. If Crimson Dawn soldiers catch you, they will escort you out, disrupting your progress and forcing you to start the infiltration from the beginning.

Should You Tell the Pykes or Side with Crimson Dawn?

At the end of the Counterfeit Credits quest, you'll choose which syndicate to support. You can either inform the Pykes about Crimson Dawn’s involvement in the fraud or side with Crimson Dawn to enhance your reputation with them.

Your decision depends on your personal preference. Aligning with either syndicate will boost your reputation and improve the job offers you receive. Generally, however, Crimson Dawn offers slightly better deals and merchant items, making it a more advantageous choice for newcomers.
