As mini-games continue to become an increasingly popular feature in gaming, it's fortunate that Star Wars Outlaws includes several for players to enjoy when they're not focused on the game's more demanding tasks. Mini-games like Sabaac, Raven Six, and Fathier Racing all provide players with a necessary respite during their efforts to pull off the biggest heist the Outer Rim has ever seen.

Not all of Star Wars Outlaws' mini-games are as up front as something like Sabaac, however, as some are hidden in some rather unexpected places. One of those mini-games is the Galactic Street Food mini-game, and it happens to be the best one players will do in Star Wars Outlaws for several reasons.

Star Wars Outlaws' Best Mini-Game Sees Kay and Nix Sharing a Meal

Star Wars Outlaws' Galactic Street Food Activities Are Actually Mini-Games

As players explore Star Wars Outlaws' dense cities, they may occasionally come across Galactic Street Food spots that allow Kay and Nix to share a meal. When triggered, a cutscene ensues that looks like something straight out of a Monster Hunter game where its own cooking scenes are generally just as playful and over the top. Once the dish has been prepared, the sharing of the meal includes a pleasant exchange between Kay and Nix, with Kay occasionally commenting on how the food is tasting and Nix responding in kind with heartfelt expressions clear enough for anyone to understand. However, in quite a rare occurrence, the conversation eventually transforms into a mini-game of sorts where players get behind the wheel of the two eating the meal.

Throughout a Galactic Street Food meal, players are given a series of button/key prompts that need to be entered within a certain time limit. Thankfully, the mini-game is very forgiving and allows players to fail an unlimited number of times until they input everything correctly, so there's no need to sweat over not getting it right the first time. This is a large part of where this particular Star Wars Outlaws mini-game shines in comparison to the others in the game, but each Galactic Street Food meal also serves an even greater purpose.

Star Wars Outlaws' Galactic Street Food Mini-Games Provide Unique Gameplay Benefits and Shine a Warm Light on Kay and Nix's Relationship

Galactic Street Food opportunities in Star Wars Outlaws are worth completing, simply because of the adorable exchange that occurs between Kay and Nix. Nix is undoubtedly Star Wars Outlaws' breakout star, so anything in the game involving him to a greater degree is most welcome. However, there are also very few moments in the game where Kay and Nix are witnessed interacting in the way that they do here. The casual feel of the Galactic Street Food mini-game is even more realized in the relaxed disposition of the two companions, and the occasional smile-inducing moment of Nix tasting something delicious for the first time is a cherry on top.

Galactic Street Food spots also provide unique gameplay benefits players wouldn't be able to get anywhere else. Specifically, once a Galactic Street Food mini-game has been completed, players will receive a permanent Nix Treat based on the meal Kay and Nix shared that will provide the furry companion with useful passive abilities when equipped. For example, after completing the Galactic Street Food exchange on Toshara, players will receive the Che Mosska Nix Treat, which causes Nix to kick grenades away from Kay.

This effectively turns what is arguably the most casual and cutest mini-game in Star Wars Outlaws into one of the most useful, thereby making it the best one available.

Of all the mini-games in Star Wars Outlaws, it's hard not to see the Galactic Street Food spots as the best. With the opportunity to witness one of the most adorable exchanges between two of the game's best characters, along with the gameplay benefits it provides, the Galactic Street Food activity takes the cake.
