From a story perspective, it doesn't really matter which factions Kay chooses to side with in Star Wars Outlaws, so players can just go with the one they like best if they really want to. However, there are definitely pros and cons to each faction.

Which is the Best Faction to Side With in Star Wars Outlaws?

The Pykes are arguably the best faction to side with in Star Wars Outlaws due to the quality of the gear that they provide. The Imperial Disguise set increases Kay's ability to avoid detection by Imperials, which will come in handy during numerous main story missions. Giving Gorak his ring back will also provide a free reputation boost, while siding with the Pykes instead of Crimson Dawn will allow players to get their relationship level up to Good fairly early on, which bodes well given how many territories the Pykes have across the galaxy.

Pros

Excellent loyalty rewards.
Multiple story decisions to boost reputation quickly.
Has more territory than any other faction and a presence across multiple planets.
Siding with The Pykes allows Kay to avoid conflict with the Hutt Cartel and the Ashiga Clan.

Cons

Will almost certainly lead to players being at odds with Crimson Dawn during the early stages of the game. However, choosing to side with Crimson Dawn instead of the Pykes will lead to players having a poor relationship with both The Pykes and the Ashiga Clan, assuming they stick with Crimson Dawn following their arrival on Kijimi.
Players will have a harder time meeting up with the Slicer if they choose to side with The Pykes instead of Crimson Dawn.

Can You Max Out Kay's Relationship with Every Faction in Star Wars Outlaws?

The main story alone doesn't provide enough opportunities to max out Kay's relationship with one faction, let alone all of them. However, by completing contracts and using some of the other methods for increasing Kay's faction reputation, it's possible to have an excellent relationship with all four of the major crime syndicates and unlock all of the associated rewards.
