Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic 2 – The Sith Lords is filled with memorable moments, as players slowly reconnect with the Force and face some incredibly dangerous Sith Lords. Throughout their journey, they’ll be making important Light vs. Dark Side choices and deciding the future of the player character, the Jedi Exile.

Depending on certain, not obvious choices made on Nar Shadaa, players can face one of the hardest combat encounters in the game. Taking the Knights of the Old Republic 2 companion Atton Rand into a certain area on the planet ensures, later, that players will face two Twin Suns assassins, Twi’Lek sisters in fact, as him and him alone. This takes place after players depart for their meeting with Goto.

Because of the Twins Suns’ strength and the fact that Atton is solo, this Knights of the Old Republic combat encounter is quite difficult. Atton is a popular ranged character, while some may eventually upgrade him to a lightsaber, but neither option is effective here. Luckily, while the Twin Suns are difficult head-on, they can easily be cheesed with the right setup.

KOTOR 2: How to Cheese the Twin Suns Fight

Players will either want to prep Atton for this fight, before setting off for the meeting with Goto as the Jedi Exile, or they can pause and do so at the beginning of the encounter. Instead of guns or a lightsaber, players should equip Atton with some form of Vibrosword. These do more damage against the Twin Suns’ shields. Then, players will want to make sure they have a Mandalorian Melee Shield with a few charges, as well as some healing items.

That’s it, but then one key tactic (seen above) makes this a cakewalk. Players will want to turn around and run behind the bar—the Twi’Lek sisters will not follow the player back there. They can then step toward the counter, with the sisters only able to advance so far toward the counter. Moreover, this positioning also means that only one sister can attack, allowing players to fight them one on one instead of one on two.

Popping the melee shield when it wears out will keep players’ damage received slow, the heals will be able to keep them alive, and then it’s just a matter of waiting and issuing commands to defeat the Twin Suns, one after another.
