A Star Wars Jedi: Survivor player has shown off an extremely neat poncho Easter egg that references the 2019 original. The poncho in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is certainly a unique style choice, and the game has a fun reward for anyone that picks it out.

Since the game was first released a few weeks ago, players have been uncovering everything Respawn's newest Star Wars title has to offer. The Star Wars franchise has an extremely rich history with callbacks and Easter eggs, and clearly, the studio has decided to continue that tradition with some of its own. Perhaps the most known so far is Star Wars Jedi: Survivor's Titanic droid painting Easter egg, which is sure to get a laugh or two from players. It's likely that there's still plenty more to discover about the game, so gamers have a lot to look forward to over the next few months.

The neat detail was pointed out by YouTuber Mighty Noob, who showed that when players equip the poncho in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, protagonist Cal Kestis becomes visibly happy with the choice of attire. The character's fondness for a poncho has become something of a meme within the Star Wars community, ever since he first donned it in Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. Cal's actor, Cameron Monaghan, has embraced it wholeheartedly, wearing one to Star Wars Celebration earlier this year and claiming he "would only agree to be in the second game if there was a poncho" on the big stage. It's great to see Respawn embrace the joke, adding the small detail to the game.

The poncho can only be acquired by defeating the Spawn of Oggdo. One of the toughest boss battles in the game, only the most hardened of players will be able to acquire this throwback item. One Star Wars Jedi: Survivor player did discover a way to cheese the Spawn of Oggdo, so there are definitely a few ways around the issue for any player desperate for the poncho.

With players everywhere now enjoying the game, gamers will have to wait and see if Respawn decides to take the same approach to DLC as the original game did. Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order had no single-player DLC, despite the game being a massive financial success. It would be a shame if the sequel were to take the same path, as fans are calling out for more from Respawn. Pre-release, there were some rumors that Star Wars Jedi: Survivor will be receiving an Obi-Wan DLC, however that turned out to be purely cosmetic rather than anything story related.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is available now on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.
