One Star Wars Jedi: Survivor player recently shared a clip of a fail that occurred when Cal was using the Force, in which he accidentally threw a rock into himself. Star Wars Jedi: Survivor released in April 2023 to positive reviews, and serves as the awaited sequel to 2019's Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. The franchise follows Cal Kestis, a padawan in hiding who learns the ways of the Jedi whilst on the run from the Galactic Empire. The games allow players to use Cal's lightsaber in various forms, as well as the Force. While the use of the Force is one of the game's most popular features, sometimes players accidentally cause it to backfire such as in the aforementioned fail.

Throughout Star Wars Jedi: Survivor players can use the Force to solve various environmental puzzles, as well as in the different combat encounters across the planets that Cal can visit. Unfortunately the game hasn't had an entirely successful launch, as its performance has been notably lackluster, especially due to the inclusion of some game-breaking bugs. Despite these bugs many fans of the Star Wars franchise enjoy the gameplay, even if the game's Force mechanics don't always work as intended. One player took to the internet to share a fail that occurred whilst they attempted to use the Force to move a rock.

Reddit user MamaBear182 shared the six-second clip, which shows Cal using the Force to move a rock, which causes the rock to bounce off of metal before hitting him. While the clip is brief, fans of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor took to the comment section to share their own fails that occurred during their playthroughs. The comment section on MamaBear182's post shows that despite the recent EA server problems, the latest entry in the Star Wars gaming franchise is enjoying an active community of fans.

Commenters on MamaBear182's post shared their reactions to the brief fail, as well as their own experiences and mistakes while using the game's Force powers. While the fails that commenters shared may cause frustration for some, many seem to actually enjoy them and the game's attention to detail when interacting with various objects.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor has only been out since April, but is already making the news due to its various bugs, such as one that causes players to permanently lose XP. Although the various game-breaking bugs that players have encountered will likely be fixed in upcoming updates, it highlights a growing problem with rushed game releases. Despite the various problems that are keeping players somewhat disappointed in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, the game's community is growing and full of people sharing their successes and fails, like that of MamaBear182.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is available for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.
