In Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, essences allow the player to enhance their skills, unlock new perks, and strengthen their Health and Force meters. By seeking out these hidden gems, players can vastly increase their power to help in facing some of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor’s more difficult encounters.
In this guide, players can find the locations of all Essences in the Rambler’s Reach area of Koboh, covering important places like Rambler’s Reach Outpost, the Untamed Downs, and Phon’Qi Caverns.
Southern Reach
The Southern Reach has one essence.
Essence 1 of 1 – Skill Point
From Mosey’s Camp, head up the vines near the waterfall on the left and swing across the poles jutting from the rock, taking a right upon landing, and cutting the vines obstructing the path into the cave. Inside, kill the Bramliks and use the pole to swing out onto another platform. Looking down at the Gorocco nest, Force Pull the rope on the right to land on a platform. Directly next to the Besotted databank collectible, find this Skill Point Essence in a corner by a pillar.
Hunter’s Quarry
Hunter's Quarry has two essences.
Essence 1 of 2 – Force
Investigating the workshop in Hunter’s Quarry, Cal can order BD-1 to slice a flashing red button, releasing a roller mine. After using one to escape, lead another outside, down the ramp, and to a door that has been welded shut. Using the roller mine to blast open the path, players can find this essence inside.
Essence 2 of 2 – Skill Point
Behind the large yellow gate, drop down and grab the orb, taking it to the central coupler. Next, place it in the side room coupler to gain access to this essence in a collapsed hallway.
Sodden Grotto
The Sodden Grotto, accessed through the tunnel in Hunter's Quarry, has one essence.
Essence 1 of 1 – Shatter
Defeat the Rancor at the end of the cave to find this perk behind it.
Riverbed Watch
Riverbed Watch has one essence.
Essence 1 of 1 – Health
To the right of the chest containing the Bun Hair, players can find this essence atop the Raider Watchtower.
Rambler’s Reach Outpost
Rambler's Reach Outpost has two essences.
Essence 1 of 2 – Skill Point (Requires Merrin’s Charm)
In the house covered in cameras, use Force Pull and open the door, air dashing through the green laser wall inside. Use Mind Trick on Soont Madas and enter the basement to find this essence directly next to the dead body.
Essence 2 of 2 – Skill Point (Requires Jawa Recruited)
After checking on the Jawas in the Bygone Settlement, return to Rambler’s Reach Outpost and visit the central row of houses. Fire an Electro Dart at the newly exposed power cell and head to the roof of that house. Place the power coupler in the leftmost coupler across the pipes to open the door to this essence.
Smuggler’s Tunnel (Requires Main Quest: The Key to Tanalorr)
Smuggler's Tunnel, found in the basement of Pyloon's Saloon during the main quest, has two essences.
Essence 1 of 2 – Skill Point
After seeing a Bogling hit a green laser wall, pass through a wall on the right and fight off some Gorgers and Shiverpedes. In the water behind some columns is an essence to grab.
Essence 2 of 2 – Perk Slot (Requires Merrin’s Charm)
Jump from a Nekkos back to reach the roof of the lone building on the right of Rambler’s Reach Outpost. Inside the house, dash through the green laser wall and enter the tunnels below, continuing through and fighting Gorgers along the way. After squeezing through a crevice on the left, dash through another green laser wall and wall run to reach this essence behind a locked door.
Chamber of Duality (Requires Main Quest: The Key to Tanalorr)
The Chamber of Duality is entered during the main quest and has one essence.
Essence 1 of 1 – Resilience
After freeing the High Republic Droid, Zee, and talking to her, she will open the way to this new perk.
Harvest Ridge
Harvest Ridge has one essence.
Essence 1 of 1 – Perk Slot (Requires Nekko Mount)
This essence can be acquired on the way to obtaining the King of the World trophy for Star Wars Jedi: Survivor.
Fort Kah’Lin
Fort Kah'Lin has one essence.
Essence 1 of 1 – Skill Point (Requires Upgraded Ascension Cable)
Above the rear entrance to Fort Kah’Lin, players can use the Upgraded Ascension Cable to reach a previously inaccessible ledge. Cross the bridge up here and defeat the two Bedlam Smashers. This essence is behind them, on the platform above the trapdoor leading to the Spawn of Oggdo fight.
