With the surprise announcement and launch of Apex Legends,  developer Respawn Entertainment has generated a lot of buzz, but it seems the developer is set to get even more people talking. As some may know, the studio is also currently working on a new Star Wars project entitled Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. And by all indications, gamers should be hearing something more about this mysterious title soon.

During the EA Q3 2019 Earnings Conference Call, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order was discussed by both Andrew Wilson (CEO) and Blake Jorgensen (COO, CFO). In their general comments and mentions of Fiscal Year 2020, both men expressed their ambitions for a number of EA published video games, but they both also mention time that they spent with this forthcoming installment in the Star Wars universe, which is set to release holiday 2019.

Wilson goes on to discuss how this forthcoming video game is spearheaded by the former director of the God of War series and backed by veterans of the industry. He even revealed that he has recently played it himself and that it "plays spectacularly well." Continuing, he also said that Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order "truly captures the fantasy of becoming a Jedi, and we will have a lot more to share soon." Coming straight from the CEO, this gives hope to those wanting to see a solid Star Wars video game, but of course, Wilson does not directly address when "soon" actually is.

That said, Jorgensen's comments about the game go on to support this sentiment. As an answer to a call-in question, Jorgensen reaffirms this hope by stating that gamers will get to see glimpses of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order in the "next few months." Jorgensen has even gone hands-on to play this game, reiterating everything that Wilson first established, but also stating, "I think people will be blown away by it."

All things considered, with this information coming down from the highest levels, gamers will hopefully have a lot to look forward to in the coming months and the general expectations of the title are met. Rumors concerning the content of the game have been making the rounds on the Internet for some time now, so it will be interesting to see if any Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order scuttlebutt online is proven to be true or are confirmed as false.
