Andor actor Muhannad Ben Amor has joined the ranks of fans asking EA for Star Wars Battlefront 3. It's been nearly eight years since EA and DICE's last Battlefront game came out, and as players have dived back into it, more have started calling for a third entry in the revamped series. Now, the voices demanding a Star Wars Battlefront 2 sequel include someone actually involved with the Star Wars franchise.
Battlefront 2 was divisive when it first came out, with many criticizing the game's heavy reliance on lootboxes and microtransactions. Since then, however, many seem to have grown more appreciative of it thanks to improvements and various post-launch updates. After Andor's second season ended, Battlefront 2's player count hit its highest number since 2021, adding fuel to the fire of fans hoping for a third game, including at least one cast member.
Is Star Wars Battlefront 2 (2017) Worth Playing in 2025?
It's been nearly eight years since DICE delivered one of the most controversial Star Wars games of all time, but some may still be looking to play it.
Amor, who plays Wilmon Paak in the series, joined the chorus of Battlefront 3 demands in an Instagram story that fans quickly screenshotted and shared on Reddit. Amor called on Star Wars to release a third Battlefront game "ASAP" before following it up with another story showcasing 469 hours in Battlefront 2 on PS5. Amor described himself as a "veteran since day one" of the game, and "grew up" playing it, which checks out, as he's said before, that he was 11 when Rogue One came out in 2016, which would mean he would've been around 12 for the release of Battlefront 2. He's certainly not alone in craving a third game, either, as a petition for Battlefront 3 has gained nearly 2,000 signatures on Change.org.
Andor Actor Muhannad Ben Amor Calls for Battlefront 3 After Hundreds of Hours in Battlefront 2
It's unclear if EA and DICE have a third installment planned, though there's no shortage of demand for one. Even the original Star Wars Battlefront series never made it to a third entry, as LucasArts reportedly canceled the original Battlefront 3 in 2008 despite nearly finishing it. Given that history, EA could see some considerable success in giving fans what they've wanted for years but never got. Amor's story could bring more attention to the issue, too, though any such claims are mere speculation at this point.
In the meantime, Battlefront fans still have some things to look forward to. Modders are working on getting a playable build of that canceled Battlefront 3 game up and running, and Amazon Prime is giving away the original Battlefront 2 in June as part of its monthly free games.
