Unfortunately, the hidden shop - AKA For a Few FOL More - isn't available until much later in the game when the party is transported to the second world known as Energy Nede. Players must follow the story and travel to North City to obtain a flying dragon-like creature called a Psynard - an advancement on the Bunny Mount.
The Psynard is Star Ocean: The Second Story R's equivalent of a Final Fantasy airship. Once the party gets access to the Psynard, they can travel directly to the hidden shop on Energy Nede for the blacksmithing tool.
For A Few FOL More Shop Location In Star Ocean: The Second Story R
The hidden shop in Energy Nede doesn't show up on the map; it reveals itself when the party uses the Psynard to hover above the small island it's located on. The shady shop is found on the westernmost side of the map. It's on a little icy island with a treasure chest and a forest.
Players can land the Psynard on the island and venture into the trees to find the For a Few FOL More shop. When the shop is located, the party can use fast travel to get there without the flying creature.
The secret shop also sells other powerful items the party should have, like the Mithril Mesh, Mithril Greaves, Wyrm King's Ribbon, the Gauntlet of Air, and more.
How To Get The Magical Rasp In Star Ocean: The Second Story R
The suspicious-looking shop is the only place in Star Ocean: The Second Story R that sells the blacksmithing tool, The Magical Rasp. The Magical Rasp can be purchased for 350,000 FOL. The price can be lowered if the party uses the Group Appraisal specialty.
There are several ways to earn FOL in Star Ocean: The Second Story R, but the most practical method is to invest enough Skill Points into Determination to get it to level 10, then level up Purity to 10 for each party member. This rewards the player with 100,000 FOL for each character.
