The Sunrise Suit is one of the series' classic armor sets that makes a triumphant return in Stalker 2. It's one of the most popular suits used by Loners, and it's also one of the first real armor sets players could get in the original Shadow of Chernobyl. The Sunrise Suit is reliable against most threats in the Zone, and it continues to be an excellent piece of protective equipment even today.
Normally, players would need to make a lot of money in Stalker 2 just to be able to buy a new suit of armor. However, there are plenty of secrets in the world that you can exploit for some easy upgrades. There's a free Sunrise Suit out there in the Zone, and this guide shows you exactly where you need to go to get it.
Stalker 2: How To Get The Trophy Assault Rifle
There's a hidden assault rifle in Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl that players can get after completing an easily missable puzzle in the open world.
Free Sunrise Suit Location in Stalker 2
You can get one of these classic armor suits for free by going to the Repair Quay, one of the marked locations in the Zaton region east of the Lesser Zone. Players can either head straight there as soon as the Lesser Zone quarantine is lifted, or progress naturally through the campaign until they reach the Stalker 2 Dead Frequency quest, which eventually leads players to the Repair Quay.
The Sunrise Suit is on one of the metal rafters supporting the sides of the Repair Quay, as pictured above. To reach it, head to the backyard of the building to find a ladder leading to the roof of the attached garages. Enter the main building again through the wrecked windows, and hop onto the beam. Shimmy your way to the opposite end of the beam to find a Stalker's Stash and the Sunrise Suit resting next to it.
The Repair Quay is relatively safe, though there might be some mutant dogs or zombies in the area. If you're doing the Dead Frequency quest, then expect a sizable horde of zombies after talking to Shterev.
Is The Sunrise Suit Any Good?
At this point in the game, the Sunrise Suit is arguably the most well-rounded armor you can find. It has superior physical protection compared to other early game suits, and it has decent resistances against radiation and elemental hazards. The Sunrise Suit also has more or less the same types of upgrades you can find in most other suits, so if you feel like you need more protection against certain damage types, you have the necessary upgrade options to choose from.
Perhaps the only downisdes of the Sunrise Suit are its complete lack of Psi protection and relative mediocrity compared to other specialized suits. It's more of a jack-of-all-trades armor that's decent against everything, but not necessarily amazing at just one thing. Fully-upgrading the Sunrise Suit is very expensive, so players will need to learn how to make a ton of money in Stalker 2 if they want to deck this suit out before heading to the more dangerous regions of the Zone.
