Few open world games of recent years are as expansive as The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, and few games offer a world rich enough to draw players in like Nintendo’s 2017 classic has. There’re so many cool sights and secrets to discover throughout Hyrule that it’s easy for players to sink dozens of hours into Breath of the Wild. In all likelihood, though, most players probably haven’t sunk as much time into it as indie rock artist St. Vincent.

Fans of the award-winning musician will know she is famously enigmatic when it comes to her personal life, but recently Vincent did open up on one thing she enjoys doing in her downtime: playing The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. She was talking with Variety about a new film called The Nowhere Inn, which she co-wrote and starred in. It was during the making of the film, she revealed, that she was first introduced to the Nintendo Switch.

“I needed a gaming console for [one] scene, and one of our producers had the Switch and had Zelda, the new Zelda in it,” Vincent said. She went on to explain that the original Legend of Zelda was her favorite game growing up, but she hadn’t really played any games until filming that scene with the Switch.

From the sound of it, it didn’t take her long to get back into gaming thanks to Breath of the Wild, as Vincent states that “Now I’m obsessed with that game in particular” and has “probably put 300 hours into it.” This led to her co-star and co-writer on The Nowhere Inn, musician Carrie Brownstein, to proclaim that that makes her an “expert.”

Alas, the interview didn’t touch upon whether or not Vincent was looking forward to the upcoming sequel to Breath of the Wild, but one can imagine that she’s just as excited as the rest of the Zelda fanbase. Not much is known officially about the highly-anticipated followup, though if the latest Breath of the Wild 2 rumors are to be believed, it looks like players who’ve invested hundreds of hours into the first game will have plenty of reason to invest hundreds more once the next one comes out.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is available for the Switch.
