As one might expect in a series like Spy x Family, many of the major characters play their cards close to the chest. In other words, everyone has a closely guarded secret and a mysterious past. That even includes little Anya Forger, the foolhardy adopted daughter of the Forger family.
Spy x Family follows Twilight, a decorated spy for the nation of Westalis. In the midst of a cold war between Westalis and the neighboring nation of Ostania, Twilight is tasked with spying on a high-profile political figure named Donovan Desmond in order to sniff out any signs of a major uprising. As part of his alias as family man Loid Forger, he recruits Yor Briar as his wife a nd adopts Anya as his young daughter, not knowing that Yor is a highly-skilled assassin and Anya is telepathic. The three of them try to live as a normal loving family while protecting their secrets from each other. While not every character in the Spy X Family anime possesses immense power, there are a few who are notably stronger than the rest.
Who is Anya Forger?
Even at her young age, Anya is often ignorant of the world around her and oblivious to mundane situations and behavior. Despite being able to read minds remarkably clearly, she will often misread a situation to her detriment. However, she learns of her parents' dangerous professions almost as soon as she meets them. To that end, she does everything she can to protect her newfound family using her abilities while making sure not to expose herself in the process.
As for her origins, however, they remain a mystery. By the time Anya is formally adopted by Loid, she has already been adopted and returned to her orphanage multiple times. Even Loid, with his information-gathering prowess, had difficulty determining the circumstances of her birth. To that end, the issue of her birth parents has only ever been brought up once.

June 28 is shaping up to be an exciting day for fans who enjoy the slice-of-life manga and anime sensation Spy x Family by Tatsuya Endo.
What Do We Know About Anya's Birth Parents?
In order to get closer to his target, Loid tries to admit Anya to the prestigious Eden Academy, the same school in which Donovan's son is enrolled. During the admissions interview, Headmaster Murdoch Swan asks Anya and her family a series of uncouth and inappropriate questions about their unconventional family structure in an attempt to get them to fail.
They're lots of fun and I love them. I want to be with them forever!
The Forgers are able to gracefully navigate Murdoch's offensive line of questioning, with Anya even readily admitting that she already loves Loid and Yor as her parents. However, Murdoch eventually takes things too far by asking Anya whether she prefers her adopted parents or her birth parents. In his mind, Loid deduces the likely scenario that her birth parents are gone, not knowing that Anya could hear every word. Stricken by both the question and the lack of knowledge of her birth parents, Anya is brought to tears. Loid and Yor take Anya away and storm out of the interview. Thankfully, Murdoch was subsequently reprimanded for his behavior and Anya was waitlisted and eventually accepted at Eden Academy.
For all intents and purposes, the status of Anya's birth parents is currently unknown, and it's uncertain whether they'll ever be in the picture. Luckily, there's no love lost within the Forger family as Anya adjusts easily to her new home and a family whom she wholeheartedly loves. By that measure, though, she places herself under laughably unreasonable scrutiny in trying to help Loid succeed in his mission, believing herself to be a super secret spy despite her startling lack of knowledge of anything.
