Membux and Prlz are two currencies in Splatoon 3: Side Order, and they both have an important role to play. While players will receive some information about those currencies upon completion of the tutorial run, they may be slightly confused about the ways in which Membux and Prlz can be earned and used. This guide is here to alleviate that confusion, and information about Splatoon 3's Membux and Prlz can be found in what follows.
Splatoon 3 Side Order: How to Get & Use Membux
Membux are granted every time that the player clears a Floor in Splatoon 3: Side Order, and the exact amount of currency that is awarded appears on the rewards screen. Fans can also see how many Membux they will receive for clearing a Floor during Floor Selection, and they can use that information when deciding which Floor to visit next.
Splatoon 3: How to Play Tableturf With Friends
Splatoon 3's Fresh Season update lets players pit their Tableturf Battle decks against each other, and this guide explains how.
Membux are used to purchase items, such as extra lives, Color Chips, and Sub Weapons, from the Vending Machines that are scattered across the Spire of Order. Additionally, any Membux that a player is holding when a run comes to an end are converted into Prlz, a process which is further detailed below, and there is even a permanent upgrade that makes it possible to use the currency to continue a run after losing all lives.
Splatoon 3 Side Order: How to Get & Use Prlz
Players will receive Prlz at the end of their runs, and the quantity is contingent upon the Points that were earned during the run. For the uninitiated, the Membux and Color Chips that the player has at the run's conclusion are used to determine their total Points, and every 1,000 Points is converted into 10 Prlz. Splatoon 3 fans will also receive Prlz after clearing certain Floors in the Spire of Order and filling in the Color-Chip Collection.
Prlz can be used to purchase permanent upgrades from Marina in Splatoon 3, and she can be found standing directly next to the Spire of Order's entrance. Those upgrades provide a variety of benefits, like granting additional lives and increasing damage reduction, and they should ultimately make it easier for players to successfully complete their runs.
Prlz are also used to purchase decorations, stickers, banners, and gear from Cipher's Siftings, a shop that is located within the Order Sector. While it may be wise to focus on making permanent upgrades before starting to buy those items, players who are consistently completing runs of Splatoon 3's Side Order DLC should feel free to become patrons of Cipher's stall.
