Nintendo has revealed the high scores and associated rewards for the Eggstra Work event in Splatoon 3. This time-limited event brought additional challenges for Splatoon 3 players, who can now discover if they unlocked all the rewards from this brand new Salmon Run event. The Eggstra Work event in Splatoon 3 is a new kind of Salmon Run that offers players a new PvE activity for a limited time. Just like previous Salmon Run shifts, Eggstra Work requires players to go to a specific location, splat Salmonids, and collect Golden Eggs. Players have to team up with others to collect as many Golden Eggs as possible, reaching high-score milestones to unlock exclusive rewards. Eggstra Work features a total of five rounds instead of the typical three, with a pre-set scenario that players can learn to try and optimize their egg-collecting strategy. As the first shift of Eggstra Work in Splatoon 3 came to an end, players can now learn if they reached the Gold bracket and unlocked all rewards from this time-limited event. Players need a score of 203 and up to reach Gold, 169 and up for Silver, and over 123 for the Bronze tier. All participants received a Salmonid locker sticker, and those who reached Bronze, Silver, and Gold tiers unlocked an exclusive version of this sticker. Splatoon 3 players can view their results and claim their rewards from the bulletin board inside Grizzco.
The first Eggstra Work shift took place from April 14 to April 16, with players collecting eggs on the Sockeye Station, an online multiplayer stage for the Salmon Run Next Wave game mode. Eggstra Work has no impact on Splatoon 3's overall Salmon Run ranks, so players can play this game mode to learn its scenario without fearing that their losses might have an impact on their global Salmon Run performances.
Splatoon 3 features various time-limited events and additional activities for those looking for different game modes than the traditional Turf Wars. Splatoon 3 features fewer Splatfests than its predecessor but brought various new activities, including a digital collectible card game based on Turf War called Tableturf Battle. Splatoon 3 also introduced a new kind of event called Big Run, where players need to defend Splatsville against an invasion of Salmonids. This time-limited event lasts for a few days, with rewards for all participants. The Eggstra Work event should return for more shifts in the future, but Nintendo hasn’t revealed their dates yet.
Splatoon 3 is available now for the Nintendo Switch.
