Spider-Man: Miles Morales  was one of the most pleasant surprises at the PS5 reveal event. While it isn't entirely clear how long the game will be, it's been compared to Uncharted: Lost Legacy.  However, it appears that developer Insomniac Games is sweetening the deal, as Miles Morales  will reportedly include a "remastered" version of Spider-Man  PS4, according to a recent issue of Game Informer.

Specifically, the issue claims that "[Spider-Man: Miles Morales] comes bundled with a remastered version of Insomniac's Spider-Man  that takes full advantage of the PS5 hardware." Unfortunately, that's all there is to go off of in regards to the remaster, and it isn't clear to what extent the game's visuals would improve, though it seems likely that it would be on par with Spider-Man: Miles Morales.

Spider-Man  is by no means a bad looking game, and only released a few years ago. Sony demonstrated PS5 load times with Spider-Man  before the console was officially unveiled, so the game, presumably, would already be supported on PS5 through backward compatibility, though it's unclear if owners would be entitled to visual upgrade as well. Remasters still take quite a bit of work, but a free upgrade would be a nice way to reward loyal fans.

Including a copy of an additional game is a pretty big deal, especially one that will likely be longer than Miles Morales  itself. While the story details surrounding Miles Morales  are more or less a mystery, Insomniac has made it clear that the game is very much intended to be Miles' story, not Peter Parker's. However, there's a good likelihood the events of Spider-Man  will influence Miles Morales'  story, which may explain why a remastered copy is being included.

The PlayStation 5 launch is slated for this holiday season, so it doesn't seem like it will be much longer before fans find out more. There hasn't been any Spider-Man: Miles Morales  gameplay yet, but rumors have circulated Sony is planning more PlayStation events, so there's a decent chance more will be revealed soon.

With the PS5 just on the horizon, fans can expect more news to start rolling out soon. PS5 pre-orders still haven't been announced, but with how close the console's launch is, fans should be hearing more soon.
