While uncommon, there are a handful of games in which players can reach max level through unconventional methods. There are examples of Fallout: New Vegas, World of Warcraft, Modern Warfare 2, and more gamers that have found workarounds to the traditional way of leveling. Players could level Spider-Man up to 50 in the original Marvel's Spider-Man, but Spider-Man 2 raised the level cap to 60. On top of leveling up Peter Parker's Spider-Man, Marvel's Spider-Man 2 also features a playable Miles Morales. This player has found a way to level up Spider-Man without starting the first mission.
Reddit user Arthyeee recently shared a screenshot of Marvel's Spider-Man 2 highlighting a level 60 Spider-Man. Beyond the level indicating their progress, the UI also shows that 52 Spider-Man suits split between Peter Parker and Miles Morales have been acquired. Several early-game Spider-Man suits are faded in the menu as the Marvel's Spider-Man 2 player hasn't progressed through a moment of the campaign. According to the Reddit user, a Spider-Man ability glitch allowed them to hit max level by doing tricks between dashes and jumps. By doing the right actions, the gamer could earn up to 400 experience in each chain of tricks.
It took about 4 hours for Arthyeee to reach the max level just by moving around Spider-Man 2's open world.
