Space Marine 2: How To Restore & Increase Armor Class

No matter which game mode you are playing in Space Marine 2, you'll be juggling your armor and health to stay alive. You'll be facing all sorts of threats against the Imperium, and taking damage is unavoidable, but luckily your armor will be the front line for incoming damage.

Under your health bar will be a few gray bars that represent your armor, and these will need to be drained before any damage goes through to your actual health. Armor naturally regenerates outside of combat, but here's how to regenerate it in combat and temporarily boost your maximum armor.

How To Restore Armor In Space Marine 2

In the Operations and Eternal War game modes, your armor class is determined by the class you are playing as. Most classes have an armor class of three, while two have an armor class of two. Your armor class number is how many bars of armor you'll have under your health bar. There are a few ways for players to restore armor:

Outside Of Combat	In the brief sections during missions when all nearby enemies have been killed, your armor will regenerate to full, simply running away from enemies doesn't work if they are still chasing you.
Perform Executions	Executions can be done on most NPC enemies and restore roughly a full bar's worth of armor. Performing an execution also makes you invincible during the animation, helping you avoid incoming damage while regenerating armor.
Bulwark Chapter Banner	The Bulwark's special ability is Chapter Banner, which gives a small aura that regenerates armor for all nearby allies. The Banner is temporary and has a long cooldown but is highly effective during combat.

How Is Armor Different In PVP

In PVP, your armor will start regenerating much faster and the beginning of this is based on distance to nearby enemies. Being in combat is determined by taking damage, and avoiding incoming damage for a few seconds will have your armor regenerate. Melee attacks in PVP also cut through any armor, making melee very effective against any class.

How To Increase Your Armor Class In Space Marine 2

Each class's armor class is set in stone, but players can temporarily increase their maximum armor during operations. Destroying boxes will sometimes have an Armour Boost drop, which can be picked up and immediately applied to your armor class. This item will give you an extra bar or armor, to a maximum of one active at a time. This bonus bar of armor can't be regenerated but will give you some extra protection before a difficult fight.
