February 22 Will Mark a New Era For Sons of the Forest

Sons of the Forest has a very similar premise to its predecessor, seeing players thrust into a remote island inhabited by cannibals and twisted horrors. Featuring a thorough gathering and crafting system, players can build bases and create tools to defend themselves and even take the fight directly to the villages and caves where the island's inhabitants dwell. Despite these similarities, Sons of the Forest already possesses a lot of features that were not present in The Forest, with the following improvements currently being in-game:

A much larger map
Improved AI
Reworked crafting and building system with more items
AI companions
Dynamic weather and season system
More weapons
Potential to befriend certain enemies

Story Improvements Are At the Core of Sons of the Forest 1.0

These improvements have been consistently added to over the past year, and with February 22 finally bringing the 1.0 update to Sons of the Forest, a spate of new content should be expected.
