Solo Leveling's protagonist, Sung Jinwoo, has had quite a turn of fortune after he decided to sacrifice himself to save his comrades in the Double Dungeon disaster. He not only experienced a second awakening, but he also learned that, unlike other hunters, he could evolve perpetually and almost amass god-like powers.

Soon, Sung turned his life around by transforming himself from humanity's weakest hunter to Korea's 10th S-rank hunter. Jinwoo went on to achieve the impossible by single-handedly defeating the S-rank dungeon boss on Jeju Island. This feat was no less than a miracle and established him as one of the best hunters in the world. But now that Jinwoo has achieved something so extraordinary, what's next for the seemingly invincible protagonist?

Start His Own Guild

Jinwoo Will Establish One of the Strongest Guilds in the World

Ever since Sung made a name for himself, he started drawing the attention of Korea's top guild masters who were eager to get him on their side. But despite being aware of their interest, Jinwoo never felt tempted to join any existing organization.

I'm going to protect my family, even if it means turning all the hunters in the world against me. ~ Sung Jinwoo

It has been strongly suggested that Sung had always been planning to create his own guild, but it appears that he has delayed his plans until now, probably because he does not feel ready for such a huge responsibility. This is expected to change in the upcoming arcs, as Jinwoo now has the Ant King in his shadow army. He will most likely start his own guild in the near future, and Yoo Jinho will undoubtedly play an important role in it since he left the Yoojin Guild despite his father's generous offer.

Surpass National Level Hunters

Jinwoo Could Become the Most Influential Hunter Soon

  • Skills: Ruler's Authority and Spiritual Body Manifestation

Jinwoo's victory over the Ant King was a historic event that was previously considered to be impossible. No other hunter had ever defeated an S-rank dungeon boss alone, so Sung's unique feat immediately put him on a pedestal that most hunters in the world would never be able to reach.

Well, being a little frustrated is better than being dead, I’m sure! ~ Thomas Andre

As impressive as Jinwoo's victory was, his influence is still nowhere comparable to that of a National-level hunter. Looking at the pace at which Sung has evolved and become a popular figure in Korea, it's only natural that he challenges the status of National-level hunters. It would not be surprising if Jinwoo somehow managed to surpass them soon, considering how quickly he has evolved as a combatant and also increased his overall influence.

Unravel the Mystery Behind the System

Jinwoo is Expected to Understand the System's Origins

Ever since Jinwoo woke up in the hospital following the Double Dungeon disaster, he has been puzzled by the presence of the magical program named System. It has helped him evolve as a hunter by constantly assigning him missions and rewarding him for successfully completing them.

Solo Leveling: Who Is the Weakest S-Rank Hunter?

While it's hard to evaluate the actual strength of an S-rank hunter, one thing we know for sure is that it isn't Sung Jinwoo.

As helpful as the System has been for Jinwoo, it has also shown its ugly side on a few occasions. Prioritizing Sung's survival and presumably sharpening his killer instincts, it has tasked him to murder human beings. The morally questionable missions assigned by the System raise serious concerns about its true motives, and Jinwoo has been smart enough to realize that the magical program is probably using him for some grand purpose.

Despite his best efforts, Sung has failed to uncover the mystery behind the System so far. With his powers slowly surpassing human comprehension, it won't be too far-fetched to claim that he might just be on the verge of unraveling the mystery behind the System.

Fight the Monarchs

Jinwoo Faces an Ancient Race of Monsters

Soon after the conclusion of the Jeju Island raid, the Monarchs made an unexpected appearance in the region. But by that time, Jinwoo had already left. Such a sighting of the ancient race of monsters is an unheard-of event and signals the beginning of a sinister new chapter. Currently, humans barely even understand the origins and history of these monsters, so they are blissfully unaware of the threat they can pose for them.

But as the story unfolds, Monarchs are expected to make a move and put their evil plans into action. This is bad news for humanity as a whole, as most hunters in the world are unfortunately too underpowered and underprepared for a threat of such a scale.

This means that Sung, along with a handful of the best hunters, will have to shoulder the responsibility of carrying humanity's hopes. It remains to be seen how Jinwoo will deal with the threat and come to terms with the frightening nature of this ancient race of monsters.
