Beru was born as the Ant King, but after being beaten by Jinwoo, he became a Shadow. Like Jinwoo's other Shadows, Beru is extremely loyal to his master and will do everything it takes to save him from harm.

Naturally, the National Level Hunters would have to be stronger if they truly stood a chance at beating it.
In the anime, Liu Zhigang showed his prowess by killing several ants who were trying to enter his country. The rest of the National Level Hunters are of similar strength, so any sane individual who values their life would do well to steer clear of them.
5 Antares
The Second-Strongest Monarch
Antares is known as the Monarch of Destruction and widely considered one of the strongest characters in the series. As a Monarch, Antares possesses insane amounts of mana, so he can utilize as many spells as he wants. He can even summon beasts as deadly as Kamish to do his bidding.
Furthermore, he has quick regeneration, which allows him to recover from any kind of damage almost instantly. Antares' defense is another problem that his opponents have to deal with. Most attacks can't even make a dent in his armor, which gives him another advantage in battles. Antares is also armed with the Breath of Destruction, with which he can lay waste to entire armies by himself.
4 Sung Il-Hwan

Sung Il-Hwan is Jinwoo's father and the loyal pawn of the Rulers. After being stuck inside a dungeon for years, the Rulers granted Il-Hwan a shot at survival in exchange for his services. With no other choice, he agreed and became willing to carry out any tasks for them.

2 Rakan
Easily Overwhelmed A National Level Hunter
Rakan was a ruthless individual who did not think twice before rushing into a fight. He was arrogant and proud of his strength, and it affected his decision-making to a certain extent.
Since he was a Monarch, Rakan knew that there wasn't any human being who would cause him trouble. Even Thomas Andre, the strongest National Level Hunter, proved to be no match for Rakan.
1 Kandiaru
Nearly Killed Sung Jinwoo
Kandiaru is the Architect of the System, so he is aware of all its functions. For the majority of the story, his identity remained a mystery, but that changed in the Double Dungeon arc. In the arc, Kandiaru invited Sung Jinwoo to the Cartenon Temple to learn about the System. However, the Architect wasn't willing to put the answers on a platter for him.
So, he challenged Jinwoo to a duel and set the condition that the latter must win within 10 minutes. Surprisingly, Kanidaru had the upper hand in the fight. He shocked the hero with his ridiculous speed and strength. Considering his display against Jinwoo, it's plausible to assume that Kandiaru is much stronger than S-rank Hunters.
