2025's Highest Rated Anime Is Officially Revealed, And Solo Leveling Has Been Beaten
Solo Leveling is popular, but nowhere near the highest-rated anime of 2025.
Naturally, fans are wondering what exactly Solo Leveling Season 3 will cover, and if, like Season 2, they will make some changes to the plot. To nobody's surprise, S olo Leveling Season 3 will eventually make changes to the plot, just like Season 2 did. In some places, they will add a lot of anime-original content, while in other places, they will trim around stuff to make it more cohesive.
Solo Leveling Will Cut Out Some Parts From Season 3
Solo Leveling Season 2 Cut Out Some Parts
- Jinwoo's Personality Develops Differently In The Anime
- Ant Queen Was Completely Erased
When speaking of Solo Leveling Season 3 adaptation, or any other anime adaptation in general, one thing that fans need to keep in mind is that it will never be a 1:1 copy of the source material. The series is an adaptation, and in a way, its own product. For this reason, anime often tends to differ from the manga. Be it added content or a director taking creative liberties, anime and manga/manhwa will rarely be the same.
I feel I lose a part of me every time I get stronger. — Sung Jinwoo
With that said, it is no surprise to know that Solo Leveling Season 3 will be making some big changes to the plot as well. In Season 2, they completely changed the dynamics of Jinwoo's character growth, especially in the fight against Barca. At the same time, they also stripped a lot of emotions from Jinwoo. Fans also know scenes surrounding Ant Queen’s arising as a shadow were cut out, as was Cha Hae-In being notified that Jinwoo saved her life.
September 13 Will Be A Big Day For Solo Leveling Season 3
Solo Leveling season 3 is getting some big news, and very soon.
Solo Leveling Season 3 will definitely see these changes as well. Fans should fully expect more focus than usual on Cha Hae-In, and some other side characters getting attention as well. At the same time, things like moving around things within the episode, and skipping over scenes shouldn't be surprising either. Aniplex Producer, Soya Furuhashi, has previously explained why the two media are as different as they are:
The original source material is designed to be consumed in short bursts—around two to three minutes per chapter—so adapting it into a 20-minute anime episode was definitely a challenge. We wanted to make sure the emotional flow stayed intact and didn’t get lost in translation. To do that, we sometimes had to rearrange scenes or add new mini-episodes to help fill in gaps and maintain a satisfying narrative rhythm.
Why Solo Leveling Season 3 Will Make Important Changes To The Story
It Is Important To Rearrange Or Trim Some Stuff
While it is understandably frustrating for some fans to see content being rearranged or not being adapted properly from the source material, it must be remembered that at some points, it is absolutely necessary. Adapting a few pages into a 20-minute episode is a very daunting task and it requires a lot of creative input from the directors. These changes are necessary and fans should, at the end of the day, make their peace with it.
Solo Leveling has two seasons out right now, one with 12 episodes, and the other with 13, for a combined episode count of 25 episodes available to watch right now. The series can be streamed on Crunchyroll for fans to enjoy while awaiting any more news concerning the third season. For fans who can’t wait for the next season, checking out the Manhwa might be a great option.
