This article contains major spoilers for Solo Leveling.
Solo Leveling has become a sensation all over the world, and this is, in big part, thanks to its sensational battles. Sung Jinwoo, Solo Leveling’s main character, is always growing in power. Due to the nature of his power, Jinwoo is fighting stronger enemies and adding many of them to his Shadow Army. Jinwoo’s Shadow Army is his most iconic ability, and this is incredibly impressive, it is about to be stripped away from him in Solo Leveling season 3.
If Solo Leveling Season 3 adapts the Double Dungeon Arc, fans will see Jinwoo lose his Shadow Army for some time against the Architect. Of course, he will not only regain his army at the end, but he will become tremendously stronger with his newfound power, the Black Heart.
Sung Jinwoo Will Lose Access To His Shadows In The Double Dungeon
Solo Leveling ended on a very strong note in Season 2. Fans are very excited for what’s next, and one upcoming Solo Leveling arc that will most certainly make it into Season 3 is the Double Dungeon arc.
This arc is heavily anticipated by Manhwa fans, as it sees Sung Jinwoo return to where it all started — the Double Dungeon, where Jinwoo encountered the God Statue. He will return here after reaching Level 100 and being invited by the Architect.
As Manhwa fans would know, it’s all a trick. The Architect wants to trap Jinwoo and offer him up as a vessel to Ashborn. As such, Jinwoo has to fight the Architect. With Kandiaru, the Architect, being the creator of the System, he can strip Jinwoo of some of his abilities. The most notable power Jinwoo loses access to here is his Shadow Army. In other words, Jinwoo has to fight on his own for some time, which definitely puts him at a disadvantage.
Sung Jinwoo’s Battle Versus The Architect Won’t Be An Easy One
Jinwoo vs The Architect is an amazing battle that fans will love to see unfold in Solo Leveling Season 3. Despite Jinwoo’s power, he’s at a huge disadvantage, with some of his abilities being locked away.
In fact, Jinwoo would have lost this fight and become Ashborn’s vessel, had the latter not betrayed the Architect. Jinwoo definitely got lucky in this arc where all odds were against him.
Jinwoo Will Get His Shadows Back And Grow Tremendously Powerful
While Jinwoo loses his shadows after they’re locked away by The Architect, this is, of course, not permanent. Sung Jinwoo gets his shadows back at the end, and not only that, but his power also reaches new heights.
Ashborn, the previous Shadow Monarch, offers Jinwoo his biggest power-up yet in the form of a Black Heart. After this, Jinwoo reaches a whole new level.
Solo Leveling has 25 episodes available to watch right now, split over two major seasons, the most recent of which wrapped up in 2025. The series can be streamed on Crunchyroll. There have been no major announcements about a third season so far. Fans can get more Solo Leveling content via the Manhwa.
