While Solo Leveling fans quickly notice Cha Hae-In's anime-original scenes, they also spot the moments missing from the webtoon. In the second season, particularly during the crucial Jeju Island story arc, the anime skips one of Cha Hae-In's cute moments for some reason. What is this cute Cha Hae-In moment, and why did Solo Leveling season 2 ignore this?
Cha Hae-In plays a significant role throughout Solo Leveling, not just in the first and second seasons like many other S-rank hunters. In addition to her participation in the fourth ant raid, she also holds the number one place in Jin-Woo's heart. At the same time, Cha Hae-In's mastery of the sword as well as her graceful fighting style earn her the title “The Dancer,” solidifying her position as one of the strongest S-rank hunters in the nation.

Cha Hae-In's Skipped Scene
Solo Leveling Season 2 Episode 10 Ignores Her Cute Moment from Chapter 95
In the second season of Solo Leveling, Cha Hae-In joins the fourth ant raid party to reclaim Jeju Island from the mutated ants. But before she draws her sword and lands the final blow to the Ant Queen, she shares a particularly interesting and cute moment in the helicopter with the White Tiger Guild’s Baek Yoon-Ho. Unlike her usual composed self, this cute moment reveals a more awkward and self-conscious side, showing a rare glimpse into her softer and more vulnerable personality.
The skipped moment should have taken place in Solo Leveling season 2, episode 10, We Need a Hero, during the helicopter scene where the Korean S-rank hunters discuss the dangers of the upcoming raid. In the webtoon, specifically in chapter 95, Cha Hae-In unexpectedly joins the conversation by asking Baek Yoon-Ho if he had made contact with Sung Jin-Woo before the raid. This moment marks the first time Cha Hae-In looks for Jin-Woo in the series.
"Ah, Guild Master Baek. Have you gotten in contact with Sung Jin-Woo?"—Cha Hae-In
The master of the White Tiger Guild replies, “No,” and then asks Cha Hae-In why she's asking about Sung Jin-Woo. At that point, Cha Hae-In, who's caught off guard, nearly freezes before brushing it off, telling Baek Yoon-Ho that it’s nothing. This entire moment is removed in the anime adaptation to allow the Ultimate Weapon, Choi Jong-In, to have an anime-original solo moment instead. Cha Hae-In would later join the scene as the helicopter drops the hunters off on the island.
Why This Cute Cha Hae-In Moment Matters
Is It a Big or Small Loss?
For most Solo Leveling fans, skipping this cute Cha Hae-In moment is not a big deal at all, since it doesn’t directly advance the plot of the Jeju Island arc, but in the eyes of her die-hard fans, it’s a different story. Without this small yet meaningful glimpse of Cha Hae-In's unusual side, the development of her feelings for Jin-Woo continues to be sidelined.
In other words, it’s a loss that detracts from the slow-burn development of Cha Hae-In and Sung Jin-Woo's eventual romance. If the anime continues to ignore these cute, subtle, heartfelt moments, it would not be a surprise to see fans complain about the authenticity of her relationship with Jin-Woo in the future episodes of the anime.
"Perhaps you're interested in me?"—Sung Jin-Woo to Cha Hae-In
Why Was It Skipped?
Could Cha Hae-In's Cute Moment Still Be Adapted?
It’s not uncommon for Solo Leveling’s anime adaptation to remove original scenes from the webtoon or add anime-original content due to various circumstances. In fact, there were some major changes between Solo Leveling’s webtoon and anime throughout seasons 1 and 2, which sparked mixed reactions from fans.
While the production team behind the anime has yet to make a clear statement regarding these changes, many fans believe that they stem from the limited runtime and overall budget constraints of the series. After all, it’s difficult to cram all the original scenes from the webtoon into a tight 20–23-minute per-episode format. As a result, it’s understandable, but still disappointing for some fans, that some scenes, like Cha Hae-In's little moment, end up on the chopping board.
"Wah! He's going to think I'm a crazy woman!"—Cha Hae-In after saying she's interested in Jin-Woo
Unfortunately, these skipped scenes are unlikely to be adapted into future installments of Solo Leveling due to the sequence of events already set in motion. But this doesn’t mean there’s no hope of seeing these scenes brought to life. As Solo Leveling continues its success, there’s a high chance that OVAs or special episodes featuring these forgotten scenes could be released sometime in the future, much like other anime franchises have done.
For now, Solo Leveling fans, especially those rooting for Cha Hae-In and Jin-Woo to end up together, can only cross their fingers and hope to see more romantic developments between the two unfold in the widely anticipated third season.
