Solo Leveling Has Raised The Bar

Since the season is listed with 13 episodes, it is almost impossible that a new opening song will be announced. The same goes for the ending song. Solo Leveling season 2 has already released eight episodes, which means only five more remain before the anime comes to an end. So far, the anime has been nothing short of phenomenal. It has raised the bar, and people who have watched the anime have come to expect a similar level of quality from other titles.

Sakamoto Days is an example of a series that is constantly compared to Solo Leveling. The former is by no means a horrible adaptation, but it has the misfortune of airing at the same time as Solo Leveling. TMS Entertainment has done a fine job of animating the source material, which is evident from Sakamoto Days' popularity. The anime has been consistently in the top 10 most watched shows on Netflix, and it wouldn't have happened if the quality was bad. But A-1 Pictures has produced such an imperious adaptation that Sakamoto Days' anime pales in comparison.
