Summary

  • Solo Leveling Season 2 has exceeded expectations with its fabulous second installment.
  • The opening song by LiSa for the new season has gained immense popularity, surpassing 1 million views.
  • Despite only 5 episodes left, the anime has raised the bar in quality, sparking anticipation for future projects.

Solo Leveling is arguably the most popular ongoing anime. After an immense first season, Solo Leveling returned with its second installment in January 2025. Fans had very high expectations from the new season, and they were skeptical whether the new season could live up to them. Thankfully, the second season has been fabulous.

The opening for the second season is titled ReawakeR, and it is produced by LiSa. Recently, the artist posted the music video for the song, and it managed to surpass 1 million views on the very first day. This is a big achievement for LiSa, and not many artists can emulate it. The success of the song is also a testament to the popularity of Solo Leveling. Fans who enjoyed the song wasted no time in showing their support for the artist.

Solo Leveling Has Raised The Bar

sololevelingepisodeeight-1

Since the season is listed with 13 episodes, it is almost impossible that a new opening song will be announced. The same goes for the ending song. Solo Leveling season 2 has already released eight episodes, which means only five more remain before the anime comes to an end. So far, the anime has been nothing short of phenomenal. It has raised the bar, and people who have watched the anime have come to expect a similar level of quality from other titles.

Sakamoto Days is an example of a series that is constantly compared to Solo Leveling. The former is by no means a horrible adaptation, but it has the misfortune of airing at the same time as Solo Leveling. TMS Entertainment has done a fine job of animating the source material, which is evident from Sakamoto Days' popularity. The anime has been consistently in the top 10 most watched shows on Netflix, and it wouldn't have happened if the quality was bad. But A-1 Pictures has produced such an imperious adaptation that Sakamoto Days' anime pales in comparison.

Solo Leveling Season 2 Has Been Phenomenal

Coming back to Solo Leveling, the anime has been on a roll recently. The last few episodes have been stellar, and they have high ratings on IMDb. Since the second season is going to cover some part of the Jeju Island arc, it is safe to assume the remainder of the episodes will be even better. The English dub of the anime also airs weekly on Crunchyroll, but there is a gap between the two versions.

Once the second season of Solo Leveling finishes airing, fans will indubitably ask questions about the future. With so many rumors flying around, they will want an official confirmation about the next season or any new projects. However, they should be patient as an announcement is likely to happen after the finale of season 2.

Solo Leveling season 2 is available to stream on Crunchyroll.
