Solo Leveling: Ragnarok manhwa has just concluded Season 1. While many fans are a bit disappointed that it came to an end almost at the same time as Solo Leveling Season 2, there are many things to look forward to when the series returns.

Chapter 47, the final chapter of Season 1, has already given us a glimpse of what's coming in the next arc — it teased that we will finally learn what has happened to a key Solo Leveling character who went missing in the story of Ragnarok's story, Cha Hae-In.

A Long-Anticipated Character Finally Appeared

Solo Leveling Ragnarok Chapter 47 was released this week, and it brought big revelations. As many fans expected, Sung Suho is following a different path than Jinwoo, and his class is now "irregular" (which means he chose the "hidden class" option in the last chapter).

The whole chapter feels like setting the stage for a brand-new phase, but what got fans most excited were the last pages, which show a character who seems to be Cha Hae-In, Suho's mother.

This means that Season 2 will probably show what has happened to her. Jinwoo and Cha Hae-In left when Suho was still young. While Jinwoo's whereabouts were later revealed (he is in space fighting the Itarim), everything about Cha Hae-In is still a mystery.

Are Solo Leveling Ragnarok Manhwa and Novel The Same?

While the manhwa is based on the novel to some extent, it takes a very different path — to the point that Suho fought his novel counterpart in the webtoon. So even those who have read the novel have no idea about what will happen next in the manhwa, which makes fans even more eager to read new chapters.

However, the manhwa still keeps key events from the novel. At the end of Solo Leveling, Cha Hae-In leaves riding on Kaisel and, in Ragnarok's novel, she ends up in a Gate. It seems that the manhwa will follow this plotline, because Cha apparently is in a cold place — in the novel, she also took care of ice elves.

When Will Season 2 Begin?

The series is now on an indefinite hiatus. The author will probably use this to take some rest and also to prepare for the events of Season 2. Also, the series recently went on a one-week break due to health problems, so the author might also still be recovering.

The announcements all claim that the series will be on a break for "some time," which could mean a few days, a few weeks or even a few months, so there is no return window so far. Fans will have to keep an eye on the official KakaoPage and Solo Leveling accounts for future updates.

Season 2 will start at Chapter 48 — right now the English serialization is at Chapter 37, 11 chapters behind. Tapas hasn't announced any changes to their publishing schedule, so, depending on how long it takes for the series to return, the English serialization may finally catch up with the original.

Solo Leveling Ragnarok manhwa and novel are officially published on KakaoPage (Korean) and Tapas (English).

Solo Leveling Ragnarok Will Make It Into The Big Screens

Although Solo Leveling has not yet been fully adapted into an anime, Kakao Entertainment has already announced that Ragnarok will be adapted into a live-action. No further information was revealed, but they are probably planning to release the movie after the Solo Leveling anime ends (since that makes the most sense).

It shouldn't take more than one or two seasons to finally cover all the events of Solo Leveling, so we might get more news about the live-action around 2026.

Solo Leveling is available to stream on Crunchyroll, subbed and dubbed in many languages.
