Solo Leveling has become an incredibly popular IP, especially after A-1 Pictures delivered a powerful anime adaptation of the Korean manhwa series. Honestly, Solo Leveling isn't an easy story to bring to the screens, but so far, the studio has done a commendable job. In fact, recently, the anime turned several heads after the first season was crowned as the Anime of the Year at the Crunchyroll 2025 awards.
Apart from AOTY, Solo Leveling bagged several other awards, which is surely a big win for fans who love the anime. However, the anime adaptation isn't the only thing that's getting great recognition from the fandom; interestingly, Solo Leveling's spin-off and sequel manhwa series, Ragnarok, is also reaching new heights and has been getting a lot of attention from the fandom.

The Sequel Series Is Boasting Impressive Readership
Recently, Solo Leveling Ragnarok achieved an impressive milestone by surpassing 100 million combined views on the web novel and manhwa. As reported by Anime Corner, the webtoon of the popular sequel series bagged more than 24 million views on Kakaopage. The web novel, on the other hand, had gotten more than 76 million hits as of May 27, 2025.
A massive viewership like this is clearly a great sign , as it sets up a solid future for the Solo Leveling universe that just keeps on expanding. Of course, the journey of the Solo Leveling anime has only begun, and it will take several years for the original story to finish in the anime format. However, the fact that the sequel story is also getting great readership means the Solo Leveling universe will possibly stay with us for several more years. Since Ragnarok has been doing a great job with the story while also keeping characters like Jinwoo and Cha Hae-In relevant, an anime adaptation of Ragnarok is quite possible after Solo Leveling is finished.
As of today, Solo Leveling Ragnarok manhwa has published over 47 chapters, but unfortunately, the webtoon went on an indefinite hiatus last month. But that doesn't put a stop to the development in Ragnarok's story, as the web novel is still ongoing.
Solo Leveling Ragnarok Has A Lot Of Good Things To Offer
Following the incredible success of the Solo Leveling manhwa, the creators came up with the fantastic idea of expanding its universe, which has been working really well, fortunately. The Ragnarok manhwa and web novel pick up from where the original story left off. While the series captures the essence of the original manhwa, it also introduces several new elements.
The biggest change in Ragnarok is obviously the fact that it focuses on the journey of Sung Jinwoo and Cha Hae-In's son, Sung Suho. Another big draw of the series is definitely the massive battle between Sung Jinwoo and the Itarim Gods. Apparently, after the death of the Absolute Being, Earth became a target for other Itarim beings because of the planet's unlimited mana. These Outer Beings hold the power to annihilate the entire universe with their army, but fortunately, Jinwoo is also powerful enough to become a hurdle for these Gods. But while Jinwoo prevents the Itarim from ever reaching Earth, Sung Suho must become powerful enough to help his father.
Solo Leveling: Why Can't Jin-Woo Name All of His Shadows?
Jin-Woo can rename his elite shadows, but why can’t he do the same with the rest of his soldiers in the army?
There's a lot of mystery surrounding Sung Suho, and while manhwa readers are still awaiting a clear answer around the boy's destiny, the web novel has reached a point where fans have gained more clarity on the character's role in this fight. And now, fans can't wait for Suho to reunite with his father after all these years and help him in this fight against the Itarim.
