WARNING: This post contains SPOILERS for Solo Leveling Ragnarok Manhwa.

Summary

  • Solo Leveling Ragnarok concluded Season 1 with a cliffhanger, introducing new abilities for Suho.
  • The series goes on an indefinite hiatus after Chapter 47, leaving fans anticipating a long wait.
  • Fans speculate the delay is due to health concerns and fear of a prolonged absence, similar to other Manhwa series.

Solo Leveling Ragnarok has become as good as the original series in terms of story and art. While the original series was about Jinwoo, the sequel Manhwa series puts Sung Suho, Shadow Monarch's son, into the spotlight. The threat of Itarim is too big for Jinwoo to handle alone, so he requires Suho by his side. However, the Young Monarch has to pave his own path to become stronger before he can stand by his father's side.

Beru has been guiding Suho at every step, but that doesn't mean things aren't challenging enough for the young boy. So far, fans have loved seeing Suho overcoming every challenge to become a fearsome Hunter. In fact, in Chapter 47 of the series, Suho surprises Beru and his allies by unveiling a class skill that even Jinwoo hasn't used. There's no doubt that the story of Ragnarok has gotten more interesting, and the cliffhanger ending of the last chapter has fans waiting for Chapter 48. Unfortunately, though, the series is going on a hiatus after Chapter 47. It's going to be an indefinite hiatus, which means the community has a long wait ahead of them.

Solo Leveling Ragnarok Has Announced A Long Hiatus After Season 1

Fans Worry That The Series Will Be Absent For Several Months

After delivering a fantastic chapter, the team at Redice Studio announced that Season 1 of Solo Leveling Ragnarok is over. The team thanked the fans for their continuous support and confirmed that the series is going on an indefinite hiatus after Chapter 47. The creators want to take some time off to prepare for the second season, which is understandable. However, this won't be a short break that we are accustomed to seeing; instead, fans worry that the series won't return for several months.

Usually, the Manhwa series takes long breaks after the conclusion of a season, as we have seen happen with The Beginning After The End. Season 5 of TBATE concluded in January 2023, and the series made a full-fledged return with the sixth season in May 2024. Now, Solo Leveling fans fear that Ragnarok will follow the same pattern, and if that's true, we probably won't get a new chapter for several months.

The concept of Manhwa seasons isn't new. In fact, the original Solo Leveling Manhwa has multiple seasons. However, the first season of the original series had 110 chapters, whereas Ragnarok has called off Season 1 after only 47 chapters, a decision that has surprised several fans. The author took a two-week break after Chapter 46 due to some health concerns, and fans wonder if the publication has taken this decision because the health issue hasn't been resolved yet.

Solo Leveling anime concluded its season 2 last month, and now, fans don't even have Ragnarok's new chapters to look forward to. So, this is clearly not a good time for the Solo Leveling fans. All being said, it's understandable why the creators want to take their sweet time to prepare for the next phase of Suho's journey. Solo Leveling has gained global popularity after the second season of the anime, so they clearly don't want to mess things up in the sequel for the millions of fans. And if the author's health is truly a factor, fans hope that they take the well-deserved break and work on their well-being. Like one user says on Reddit, "Hope everyone working on it is doing alright," and that they don't mind waiting as long as the next season is of "good quality."

Solo Leveling Ragnarok Concluded The First Season On A Cliffhanger

We Finally Got A Glimpse Of 'The Dancer'

In the latest chapter of Solo Leveling Ragnarök, Beru and the others were worried that Suho hadn't returned for three weeks. They wonder if something bad has happened to the boy. However, Suho finally returns after completing his Advancement Quest, and, as expected, he comes back stronger. Immediately after his arrival, Suho realizes that the real world is threatened by the appearance of a massive Gate. The Gate was being manipulated by Tiel, which even led to the deaths of several low-rank Hunters. However, the return of Sung Suho shocks Tiel, who notices a considerable boost in Suho's powers. Tielle wasn't the only one who was surprised by Suho's aura; Beru was also taken aback by Suho's Irregular: White Shadow Class Skill. Interestingly, this ability allows Suho to transform a shadow into an item, a skill that even the Shadow Monarch hasn't used.

Solo Leveling: Why Are People Losing Their Minds Over Jinwoo's Butt?

Solo Leveling fans have been gossiping about Jinwoo's exposed backside, and it has them in a tizzy. Why exactly was his posterior on display?

While all this was happening, Thomas Andre was busy pounding Rio Singh and the rest of the members of the Asura Guild in India. He seeks to fight Suho to avenge his team, which the Young Monarch defeated earlier. The entire chapter was full of interesting events, but the most shocking one was obviously Cha Hae-In's return. In the final moments of the chapter, we see a figure appearing in a region covered by ice. Even though the chapter doesn't reveal her face, we know that it is Cha Hae-In who has returned to the human world. Fans were waiting to learn Cha Hae-In's whereabouts and her reunion with Sung Suho, and after all this wait, we finally saw a glimpse of the Dancer.

Unfortunately, we now have a long wait before we see that reunion. The creators have surely done a fantastic job of making the community restless by ending the first season of the manhwa series on a cliffhanger. Now, we have no choice but to wait for an official announcement on the series' return with Season 2.
