Solo Leveling Season 3 has yet to be officially announced, which has upset the fans a lot. They were expecting an update immediately after the conclusion of the second season, but that wasn't the case. It's been months since Season 2 ended, but fans are still hopeful that a new season will be released in the next couple of years.
When the anime does return with the third season, fans can expect Sung Jinwoo to face the biggest test of his life so far. In fact, fans who have read the web novel will know that the main villain for Solo Leveling Season 3 has already been revealed.

Solo Leveling Season 3 will likely have a similar episode count to the first and second seasons, meaning it will run for around 12 episodes. Depending on the pacing, the third season will cover at least two major arcs. These will be the Ahjin Guild Arc and the Double Dungeon Arc. Both arcs have a total of 20 chapters, so it's obvious all of them will be adapted in the third season.
Kandiaru makes his full-fledged appearance in the Double Dungeon Arc. Therefore, there is every chance that Sung Jinwoo will face him in Season 3. Kandiaru is the Architect of the System, which means he knows everything about it and why Jinwoo was selected. Since the hero still has a lot of questions, it is important that he talks to Kandiaru.

Kandiaru invited Sung Jinwoo to the Cartenon Temple when the hero reached level 100. The Architect was planning to subdue Jinwoo so that the Shadow Monarch could be reborn. Sung Jinwoo had to beat Kandiaru in 10 minutes; otherwise, the System would kill him. Initially, Sung Jinwoo struggled, but he pulled off the victory with just over 2 minutes remaining.
Subsequently, Kandiaru put Jinwoo in a trance and waited for Ashborn to take control of his body. At the same time, Choi Jung-in, Cha Hae-in, Woo Jinchul, and several other Hunters entered the dungeon. They tried to wake up Jinwoo, but it didn't seem to work. Just when it seemed that everyone would die, Jinwoo woke up and attacked Kandiaru. The Architect was confused but soon realized that Ashborn had betrayed him. In fact, Ashborn had locked Kandiaru out of the System, so he was unable to take back Jinwoo's powers.

Following his victory over Kandiaru, Jinwoo will become even more powerful. His physical abilities are enhanced, and he's able to fight against the top fighters in the Solo Leveling universe. This was all because of the Black Heart that he received from Ashborn. The Black Heart effectively made Jinwoo the next Shadow Monarch and increased his potential further. The fight also helped Jinwoo to learn about the System and Ashborn.
The fight against the Architect will be the highlight of the third season, but there are important developments that will occur in the same installment. For starters, Jinwoo will finally start his own guild, and it will be named the Ahjin Guild. While it may not have a lot of members, Jinwoo's presence alone makes up for it.
The new season will also include some special moments between Jinwoo and Cha Hae-in. From the get-go, it's been clear that Cha Hae-in has a strong interest in Jinwoo, but she has been unable to express her feelings to him. For her, the extra moments with Jinwoo are extremely important.
As previously stated, there is no news about the release date of the third season, so fans have no other option but to remain calm and wait. Some reports have suggested that the anime will return in 2028, but hopefully, A-1 Pictures will be able to release the third season a bit quicker.
