This article contains spoilers from Solo Leveling Season 2.
Solo Leveling Season 2 gave fans a good glimpse of Jinwoo's true strength. The Shadow Army that Jinwoo possesses certainly stood out quite a lot, and it was clear to see that even among the S-Rank Hunters, Jinwoo clearly stood at the top. Of course, there are better things to come and stronger opponents for Jinwoo to fight later down the line.
Solo Leveling's Best Episode Has Finally Been Dethroned
Solo Leveling season 2 was big, but this iconic shonen series has dethroned its best episode.
Strong as he is right now, Jinwoo still isn't at the peak of his powers, and there are those who surpass him in strength in more ways than one. Those who read the Manhwa know very well about the characters who stand at the very top and are a threat to even Jinwoo.
Sung Jinwoo Just Reached Level 100 In The Anime
- Jinwoo Fought And Beat The Ant King
- Jinwoo Can Grow Even Stronger
Solo Leveling Season 2 saw Sung Jinwoo finally hit level 100, and this is where every fan held their breath. This happened after his fight against the Ant King on Jeju Island, which fans know was incredibly intense. Despite the tremendous strength of the Ant King, he wasn't able to do much damage to Jinwoo at all. In fact, Jinwoo managed to defeat the Ant King without too much trouble, albeit only because he continued to power up throughout the fight.
I use the system and the system uses me. — Sung Jinwoo
After Jinwoo beat the Ant King, it became clear that his power wouldn't be capped at Level 100. This was something a lot of the fans were worried about. Jinwoo clearly could go beyond level 100, and fans know now that he will only continue to grow stronger and catch up to those who are levels above him.
Jinwoo Is Far Weaker Than Ashborn
- Ashborn Was A Monster In Power
- Jinwoo Hasn't Reached The Level Of Ashborn
One name that Solo Leveling fans need to keep in mind is Ashborn. While the anime hasn't delved into lore about this particular character, the Manhwa makes it quite clear that Ashborn was the previous Shadow Monarch and a monster even above the level of Jinwoo in Solo Leveling Season 2.
Sung Jinwoo's Next Adventure After Solo Leveling Is Coming
A new Solo Leveling sequel might be on the way, and it will center on Sung Jinwoo again.
That's not to say that Jinwoo can't reach the same level of power as Ashborn or go beyond that. What it means is that as things stand in regards to the anime, Jinwoo isn't strong enough to fight or beat Ashborn if a hypothetical fight did take place. But, fans need to keep their eyes on Jinwoo's evolution because he will eventually go on to surpass all limits.
Jinwoo Isn't On Antares's Level Yet
Yet another name that fans might not have heard of but need to keep in mind is Antares. Known to be the Monarch of Destruction, Antares is levels above the current anime Jinwoo, and their existence just goes to show that even if Jinwoo seems unbeatable right now, there is a whole unexplored world in Solo Leveling that fans are yet to see, and that there exist countlessly overpowered characters that the anime will delve into once Solo Leveling returns with Season 3.
“I think more than anyone, I am anxiously awaiting a Season 3! But in truth, between Season 1 and Season 2, 220,000 frames of animation were created. So, if it were up to me, I’d say let’s wait until the next Olympics (2028) to see what’s going to happen with a Season 3. But I think that’s more up to Kaneko and A-1 Pictures.” — Atsushi Kaneko
Solo Leveling has two seasons out right now, one with 12 episodes and the other with 13, for a combined episode count of 25 available to watch currently. The series can be streamed on Crunchyroll for fans to enjoy while awaiting any more news concerning the third season. For fans who can’t wait for season 3 to come out, checking out the manhwa might be a great option.
