Beloved anime series Solo Leveling is getting a brand-new game on PC and Xbox, bringing chaotic four-player action based on the adventures of Sung Jin-woo. The popular series has seen multiple different adaptations since its origins as a South Korean web novel, including the anime series, a spinoff, and even a live-action Korean drama. Solo Leveling has already premiered two seasons in 2024 and early 2025, with the anime even receiving the coveted "Anime of the Year" title at Crunchyroll's Anime Awards. Now, the franchise is set to receive a brand-new game in the near future.

The popular anime centered around the raging battle between Hunters and monsters has already seen a video game adaptation once before. Solo Leveling: Arise debuted in May 2024 as an action RPG, thrusting players into the role of Jin-woo and featuring other popular characters from the series as well. Developer Netmarble officially unveiled Solo Leveling: Arise Overdrive as a new game. The teaser trailer touted the addition of co-op action to the game, allowing players to team up with three other players and showcasing teams fighting some of the game's fearsome bosses. Solo Leveling: Arise Overdrive looks to carry on what has been a monumental success story for the Solo Leveling franchise. The recent conclusion of Solo Leveling's second season saw many fans clamoring for more from the series, with producer Sota Furahashi teasing an early 2026 release for a third season. Solo Leveling also received the previously-mentioned spinoff following the success of Season 1, with Solo Leveling: Ragnarok as a sequel focusing on Sung Jin-woo's son. Solo Leveling: Arise Overdrive should be the perfect precursor for the highly-anticipated Season 3 when it debuts later this year.
