Solo Leveling: Arise

One of the main game modes players will need to farm each day after the daily reset in Solo Leveling: Arise are gates. Gates are quick dungeons players can enter using gate keys to clear out monsters and obtain rewards upon winning. Gates can be cleared by either Sung Jinwoo or your Hunters depending on the icon over the gate in the menu.

After a gate has been cleared, players can mine the gate for Mana Crystals and Essence Stones. Gates will quickly become the most important farming method for stronger items that begin appearing after unlocking the Army Of Shadows. While any gate is useful to clear, Red Gates offers much better rewards and will have players hunting them down as often as possible.

How To Make Red Gates Appear In Solo Leveling: Arise

Red Gates are special gates that are much harder to clear than other gates of the same level and rank. Red Gates can be attempted as many times as players need with a Gate Key only being used after successfully clearing the gate. Red Gates won't appear naturally, and will only spawn after a player clears out multiple other gates in a single scanned area. There isn't a set number of gates that need to be cleared before a Red Gate appears, with the amount needed ranging from 1-5 before one will spawn.

Once a Red Gate appears it will stay until it is cleared even if players Rescan for new gates. Rescanning will make the current Red Gate go away but a new one with a different level and rank will appear to take its place. After clearing a Red Gate, immediately scan for new gates and try to spawn another gate to make the most of your daily Gate Keys. Red Gate spawn rate is also affected by the difficulty level of the current scan area, with high-difficulty areas being more likely to spawn a gate and lower areas than difficulty 10 rarely if ever spawning a Red Gate

There is no limit to how many Red Gates can appear in a day. If players are lucky with their Red Gate spawn rates they can often encounter two or three Red Gates in a day. New Gate Keys are given each day at the daily reset to fill up the player's inventory to the current max.
