If there's one announcement that really turned heads early on for the Snyder Cut, it was the news that the project would be just over 4 hours long, making it one of the longest mainstream superhero films in recent memory. Those who were worried about sitting in one place however got some relief with the announcement that the film would be broken into chapters for more convenient viewing. As the release of the film finally approaches, the marketing campaign has let fans know what those chapters will be called.

While the basic plot of the film is already known, the Snyder Cut plans to add quite a significant amount of new material, which means it's difficult to say with certainty what each title is referring to, but the names are as follows: "'Don't Count On It, Batman,'" "The Age of Heroes," "Beloved Mother, Beloved Son," "'Change Machine,'" "All The King's Horses," and "'Something Darker.'"

Some of them are fairly self-explanatory: "Age of Heroes" is almost certainly referring to the Justice League themselves, and "Don't Count On It, Batman" seems to suggest that the opening of the film will be heavily centered on the Dark Knight himself. Recent reports have suggested that the Snyder Cut ends on a cliffhanger, so "Something Darker" is probably referring to a downer ending where the heroes realize something even bigger is on the horizon.

Chapter 4's title, "Change Machine," is an interesting one however, and it's not clear exactly what it means. It's possible it could be a reference to Cyborg, who is rumored to play a much larger role in this version of the film, but it could also be talking about the Mother Boxes, or maybe it is simply a metaphor for one of the film's main themes.

Regardless of what the titles mean, it's interesting to see the thought process that goes into each chunk of the film, and it will certainly be a fun discussion to have once the film finally comes out. Until then, fans will have to simply speculate until the film finally hits HBO Max.
