A major leak recently revealed that the highly-anticipated horror game Slitterhead is set to launch on November 8. The release of this title being only a few months away will likely excite many Silent Hill fans, as Keiichiro Toyama, the creator of Konami's classic franchise, has been leading Slitterhead's development alongside his team at Bokeh Game Studio for several years.
The Twitter user Wario64 captured screenshots of a leaked trailer for Slitterhead that reveals that Bokeh Game Studio's debut title is set to release on November 8, 2024, for PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store. The link that Wario64 provided for the trailer in their tweet is currently inaccessible because, at the time of writing, it redirects to a private YouTube video. Judging from this, it appears that Bokeh Game Studio accidentally uploaded the new trailer for Slitterhead on YouTube hours before it was supposed to go live during Summer Game Fest 2024. After all, SGF host Geoff Keighley recently confirmed that Slitterhead is slated to get a gameplay reveal during the showcase later today.
Based off of this leaked release date, it seems Slitterhead will have plenty of time to shine when it launches in November of this year, as the upcoming horror title is coming out in a month that's rather light on major game releases, at least for now. Currently, the only big title scheduled to launch in November is the Japan-set video game Assassin's Creed Shadows. Meanwhile, official confirmations aside, the few titles rumored to release in that month are Obsidian's Avowed and Asobo Studio's Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024. Obviously, none of these three games have anything in common with Slitterhead genre-wise, so unless something changes, Bokeh Game Studio's debut title likely won't have much competition when it releases in November.
It Looks Like Gamers Won't Have to Wait Too Long To Play Slitterhead
Fortunately, fans of Keiichiro Toyama won't have to wait too long to get their hands on the Silent Hill creator's next game. Nonetheless, those who are impatiently anticipating the title's November launch can try out other horror games before Slitterhead in the meantime, like the Silent Hill 2 remake, which releases a month earlier in October.
