A bunch of villagers in The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim attacked the Dragonborn for simply throwing a tomato with telekinesis. Skyrim allows gamers to fully customize their build and use a wide variety of weapons to take down their foes. Players can also utilize different types of offensive and defensive spells in Skyrim to turn the tide in their favor.
Telekinesis is one such spell, and players can find it as a part of the Alteration school of magic. The Alteration skill tree in The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim offers some useful perks, such as being able to cast spells at a reduced magicka cost and increased magical resistance to an enemy’s attacks. Players can also utilize helpful spells that allow them to detect close-by living creatures or paralyze all nearby enemies. Now, one Skyrim player experienced a strange event while trying to use the telekinesis spell.
A Reddit user named Decent_Following9450 has shared a funny clip of them using the telekinesis spell on a tomato in the city of Whiterun. They throw the tomato after messing around a bit, which first lands on top of a building before falling down and hitting a Skyrim NPC. Things go south in a hilarious fashion, as all the NPCs in the area suddenly become hostile and start attacking Decent_Following9450. The soothing background music changes to represent an active combat encounter and a message in the top left states that a bounty of 40 has been added to Whiterun.
Some users point to the fact that the tomato lightly touches the foot of an NPC, but this act is enough for everyone in Whiterun to start attacking the Dragonborn with weapons. Another player mentions that they experienced a similar event when playing around with cabbages in The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim. It seems like many fans end up making this mistake, with one of them claiming to have caused a disastrous incident that resulted in a mob of NPCs trying to kill each other in Riften. Funnily, this sequence also involved a thrown cabbage, and the user ultimately had to reload an older save.
Some Skyrim players talk about how the Dragonborn’s follower decided to turn on the player the second everyone became hostile. In this case, the user’s follower was Uthgerd the Unbroken, who hilariously started attacking the player with a two-handed weapon after the tomato hit the NPC’s foot.
The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim - Anniversary Edition is out now for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
