A Skyrim fan online has shared their awesome artwork, which imagines the city of Riften "in its prime." Riften is one of the main cities in Skyrim, although it never quite felt as grand as it could have been, but one gamer has changed that through their fan art.

Since Skyrim was first released back in 2011, gamers have produced a ton of fan creations based on Bethesda's RPG. The game remains extremely popular to this day, and with the amount of fan creations the game receives, it takes something special to stand out from the crowd. One Skyrim fan created a stunning Meridia statue that actually talks, which is a cool way to pay tribute to one of the game's Daedric Princes. Considering it'll likely be a few years yet before another Elder Scrolls game is released, gamers should expect to see plenty more Skyrim fan art for the foreseeable future.

Redditor Dravidistan shared the fantastic artwork, which in their words, imagines "an expanded Riften in its prime." The unique pen and watercolor style makes this piece a joy to look at, putting a fresh spin on one of Skyrim's central locations. When players encounter Riften in Skyrim, it is run-down and essentially controlled by the Thieves Guild. This artwork shows that it could be so much more at another period in the Elder Scrolls lore, showcasing exactly what that might look like, with a larger city to explore as well as a more developed docks area.

Skyrim Fan Creates Expanded Version of Riften Artwork

Dravidistan is no stranger to Skyrim artwork. In the past, they've produced a ton of art based on The Elder Scrolls, reimagining different places at various points in time during the series' lore timeline. A short while ago, Dravidistan also created some Skyrim artwork that imagined Winterhold before the collapse, so it seems they specialize in making these areas seem more grand than they appear in the game. It's awesome to see - Dravidistan has such a unique style, and it would be cool if they were able to recreate all of Tamriel like this.

While Skyrim remains near and dear to the hearts of many gamers, it can't keep The Elder Scrolls alive forever. The Elder Scrolls 6 is in the works at Bethesda, although there's no indication about when it will actually be released. With Skyrim soon to turn 13 years old, hopefully Bethesda will be in a position to speak about the game in the near future. Just recently, a Bethesda dev accidentally hinted at The Elder Scrolls 6's setting, so the gears are clearly turning on Bethesda's next title.
