A Skyrim player took inspiration from the world of Conan the Barbarian and remade the titular character in the game. Making effective use of the game's character creator, the Skyrim player replicated Conan as a digital facsimile and shared the steps they took to recreate the character with other players on social media.

Originally released as a short story character in pulp magazines in the 1930s, Conan the Barbarian later had some licensed comics published by Marvel in the 1970s. In 1982, the eponymous movie directed by John Milius propelled the character into the spotlight, thanks in part to actor Arnold Schwarzenegger's portrayal of the Cimmerian warrior turned king. Set in the fictitious Hyborean Age, the plot of Conan the Barbarian covers the adventures he went on throughout his life and the many battles he waged against fierce foes such as Thulsa Doom. The franchise later expanded into sword and sorcery games such as Conan Exiles.

While other sword-wielding characters have been recreated in Skyrim, such as Jon Snow from Game of Thrones, one player chose to pay tribute to the Cimmerian king with their creation. On Reddit, a user named severinuskrios used the PS3 version of the game to remake Conan as a Nord warrior and shared a screenshot of their handiwork on the r/Skyrim subreddit. The OP's interpretation of Conan was given a Copper and Onyx Circlet as a stand-in for the studded leather crown that adorned Conan's head in the films. The OP also gave Conan some Hide Armor and Hide Bracers, both of which give minimal protection against enemies. The Hide Armor set also comes with a loincloth, which fits with Conan's usual attire.

Recreating an Iconic Barbarian in Skyrim

After being asked how they were able to make Conan in Skyrim using the character creator, the OP replied to a comment with the exact dimensions that they used on the PS3 version. Using the male Nord as a base, the numerical values the OP provided should work across all versions of Skyrim. Due to using the PS3 version, the OP had no access to any of the quality-of-life mods that Skyrim players have used over the years.

Considering that the Nords of Skyrim pride themselves on braving the harsh environment and protecting their families, the fact that the OP chose them as the basis for recreating Conan was not surprising. It remains to be seen what fans of The Elder Scrolls will do while they wait for the sixth main entry in the series.
