As of July 30, 2025, 241 new cards were added to Pokemon TCG Pocket, ushering in a bunch of iconic Pocket Monsters from the Johto region, the main map from the second generation of mainline Pokemon games.
The two packs that players can open cards from are based on the boxart Legendaries for Pokemon Gold and Pokemon Silver: Ho-Oh and Lugia. However, there is something entirely new to TCG Pocket that's been added with the latest update, and that is six-card packs. Ever since the game launched last year, you've only been able to get five cards from a single pack, but not anymore. Here's how it works.
Updated on September 2, 2025: With the inclusion of the Secluded Springs booster pack set in Pokemon TCG Pocket, there are a couple of n ew "baby" Pokemon that players can get as a sixth card in their packs (if they're lucky). We've added the three Pokemon (Mantyke, Iglybuff, and Azurill) to the list below.

When you pull the extra card, you'll see a flashy design that looks different from the rest of the pulls.
Baby Pokemon were introduced in Pokemon Gold and Silver. They are essentially newly discovered pre-evolutions of existing Pokemon. Pichu is the "baby" form of Pikachu; Elekid is the "baby" form of Electabuzz; Cleffa can evolve into Clefairy (you get it!)
What Are the Chances of Getting Six Cards From One Pack in Pokemon TCG Pocket?
When it comes to pulling cards from the Wisdom of Sea and Sky, there's an 8.3% chance of getting that sixth bonus card in Pokemon TCG Pocket. There's also a very high 29% chance that the extra card is one of the Baby Pokemon that we mentioned earlier, which are...
