The realism of The Sims 4 knows no bounds; just like the players steeping themselves in The Sims 4, the Sims themselves grow, evolve, and mature with time. And most importantly, they absolutely love birthday parties!
The Sims 4 has been revamped and introduced some features that were not included in previous installments. Among the latest inclusions is the acquisition of a cake; Sims can no longer buy a cake from the build mode; instead, they will have to bake a cake themselves. This not only challenges the baking skills of the Sims but also adds more thrill to the gaming experience. Let’s walk through the delightful cake-making process in Sims 4.
How to Make Birthday Cake Sims 4
The cake crafting is a facile one, particularly for Sims with good cooking skills, as they can easily bake and create even more intricate cakes. Starting with classics like chocolate cakes is a great way to begin. With time, practice, and cooking adeptness, Sims will be able to eventually master the art of baking gourmet cakes too. Let's take a look at cake varieties that can be baked:
- White Cake
- Chocolate Cake
- Blue Confetti Cake (Available at level 4 of Cooking skills)
- Strawberry Cake (Available at level 6 of Cooking)
- Honey Cake
- Sim City Cheesecake (Gourmet cooking level 5 is mandatory)
Sims must follow the following steps to bake a birthday cake.
- Click on the fridge and select cook.
- Choose any cake from the above-mentioned varieties.
The White and Chocolate cakes will be available at all cooking skill levels.
Once the cake is baked, Sims have to place it on a countertop or a table stand. They can decorate and make the cake look more appealing by adding candles to it. To do so, click on the cake and select the “Add Birthday Candles” option.
Just like other meals, a birthday cake can go bad if kept on the counter for a long time.
Getting Birthday Cakes from Caterers
There are instances when Sims hold extravagant get-togethers at an outer setting and appoint a caterer for food. Although it may be convenient for Sims, it’s not always a good experience. Since caterers may fail to fulfill demands or make food as per Sims’ preference, there is a possibility that they may not get satisfied, so baking a cake on their own is a better option.
The Sims 4 is available on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
