Hogwarts Legacy has had a successful launch, building on the nostalgia-based hype from existing fans and from new players. Fortunately, the world of Harry Potter existed long before the release of Avalanche's game, and many fans have created mods for The Sims 4 that allow players to now recreate elements of Hogwarts Legacy gameplay.
The benefit and fun of creating a magical Hogwarts world in The Sims 4 is the freedom of the game’s sandbox nature. Hogwarts Legacy doesn’t have a romance feature, for example. Or, players can role-play the lives of many Hogwarts students at once, as opposed to a single character per play-through of Hogwarts Legacy.

7 lkavelle - Magic School
The starting point for recreating the Hogwarts Legacy game in The Sims 4 would be the magic school of Hogwarts itself. Through the use of the Realm of Magic game pack and the Magic School mod by Ilkavelle, teenage Sims can attend Bonehilda’s Magic School. Also, utilizing Zerbu’s Venue Changes mod allows for the Realm of Magic lot to be moved outside the magic realm, where it can be used as a school environment through the in-game ‘work from home’ option.
Teen spellcaster Sims can attend classes like Herbalism, Muggle Studies, Astronomy, and more. The three Realm of Magic sages are the mod's equivalent of Hogwarts professors and teachers. Once Sims have progressed through four levels of schooling in the mod, players can send their teens to an active exam event. This exam takes place in the magic realm and includes tasks like brewing a potion and casting spells. The results of the exam determine the benefit that each teen Sim will receive, which is a range of adult career salary boosts.
6 Hogwarts Uniforms
While this CC set is based on the more modern Harry Potter- era Hogwarts uniforms, the pieces form a great beginning for creating characters and outfits that look like ones from Hogwarts Legacy. The uniform set and separate cape download come in all four house colors, plus an extra.
For masculine and feminine framed Sims, there are four tops and one set of pants. The four tops have a white shirt and tie combo, and the tops come in varied states of tucked and untucked, with a grey sweater option available as well.
5 Forbidden Spell
If Hogwarts Legacy allows players the use of unforgivable curses and other spells, then Sims can have forbidden spells. Modder Kuttoe added spells to the Untamed school of magic that is available in the Realm of Magic game pack. Sims can cast one of four spells for their grim benefit or amusement, and the success or failure of these spells comes with consequences.
Melilferate, the spell that summons bees to attack a poor Sim victim, attacks the player’s Sim if the spell fails. The mod also includes Ennervate, which steals the vigor of another Sim to increase the caster's energy need, Miasma, which brings sickness upon other Sims, and Grim Bargain, which consumes a Sim’s own life force.
4 Magical Beasts
Some of the most memorable characters of the Harry Potter and Hogwarts Legacy universe are the fantastical and magical beasts that exist in the wizarding world. Available from Gallery ID: TheKalinotr0n, players can download dragons, hippogriffs, unicorns, and more from this creator.
The CC used to make these creatures can also be found on the creator’s CC page, where a master list is available showcasing all of their available downloads. Players can also download animals and households without CC via The Kalino’s Gallery ID, if console players would like to grab some of those creations.
3 Map Replacement And Timeless Mod
Hogwarts Legacy is set in the late 1800s, a time that lacks modern conveniences. Players can pick from many in-game The Sims 4 worlds to recreate their Hogwarts experience, and Windenburg is a popular choice for those that want to go for a more historical setting. However, the world still has some modern decor and objects, which can be removed through the Timeless mod, a mod that de-clutters modernity in in-game worlds.
Modder MissChipsa also created replacements for the world map view that players see before loading into their lots and households. The medieval map replacements bring in a more medieval and fantastical setting before players load up their Sims households, and the modern map view illustrations are replaced with stunning new historical versions that reflect the feeling of the Hogwarts Legacy map.
2 Sorting Hat, Traits, And Clubs
The club system that came with the Get Together expansion pack has become a favorite gameplay tool for some players. The Hogwarts Houses can be turned into clubs, with each house getting its own club and club icon, through mods by Brittpinkiesims. Brittpinkiesims is now inactive, but some modders have kept these creations mostly updated.
The functional sorting hat mod and the Hogwarts Stuff mod can be found through modder konansock. The sorting hat assigns Sims one of the four houses and gives them a corresponding trait, and the Hogwarts Stuff mod has house icons and other add-ons for the Get Together club system.
1 Hogwarts and Hogsmeade
Bringing the Hogwarts Legacy experience to The Sims 4 includes creating, or downloading, the memorable areas of the Hogwarts school and surrounding areas. Two builds available on the Gallery by PlumbobKingdom and Fildos are the Hogwarts school and the village of Hogsmeade.
These creators remade the areas that players love into accessible builds for The Sims 4. If the Hogwarts build is kept residential, Sims can live on the lot and stay within their Hogwarts house common room by using the in-game door-locking feature. Alternatively, the club system allows for doors to only be accessed by pre-determined clubs, allowing players to create clubs of Hogwarts Houses and limit access to common rooms with this method.
