To increase your Silk meter and get more max Silk, Silksong players must find two Spool Fragments. Like Mask Fragments, these floating collectibles can be found in out-of-the-way areas and secret locations – and rarely, for sale in vendor inventories.

Silk Hearts and Spool Fragments are different items, but both affect your Silk meter. Silk Hearts will automatically fill one bar of your Silk gauge when you run out, while Spool Fragments are used to increase your base Max Silk.

Spool Fragments look like half of a spool of thread, floating in mid-air. You can often hear Spool Fragments when you are nearby, hinting that you should explore more to get to their location.

In total, there are 18 Spool Fragments in Silksong, meaning players can get up to nine more notches added to their Silk Meter. Unlike Mask Fragments, Silksong players only need to collect two Spool Fragments to add a notch to their Silk gauge.

To increase HP and get more Masks, Silksong players must collect four Mask Shards. Like Silk Fragments, Mask Shards make a unique sound when Hornet gets close. You can usually find Mask Shards behind breakable walls, in optional challenge areas, or for sale by numerous vendors.

Hornet can also get Lifeblood Masks in Silksong. These blue hearts are essentially temporary HP that will be removed before your normal Masks – once they're gone, you cannot recover Lifeblood Masks with the Bind skill.

When you collect a Mask Shard, Silksong players will see a quadrant of an empty mask fill in. When all four slots are filled, you will increase Hornet's HP by one. In total, there are 20 Mask Shards in Silksong, meaning players can get up to five additional Masks if they collect every Mask Shard in the game.
