What to Do With the Architect Key in Silksong?

Crests in Hollow Knight: Silksong can completely change Hornet's playstyle, such as making her attacks deal higher or lower damage, but also changing the attack speed along with it. Some crests outperform others when it comes to combat, while others are great to have in difficult platforming sections. The Architect Crest unlocks during Act 2 and has a very unique ability, which costs Silk. How to Get the Architect Key in Silksong

After getting to the second act and leaving the Underworks to reach the Coral Chambers, you will need to find the White Key. This key gives you access to the elevator, which goes down into Whiteward and ultimately to the eastern section of Underworks, which is your destination. The White Key is located at the top right of the Citadel, inside the Songclave. Once you bring the key back and explore your way to reach the Underworks, you will come across a bench where you can hear an NPC talking.

Your goal is to reach this NPC, but you can’t at the moment since you are missing an ability. Make your way left and then down to the bottom, where the lava is. Head right, and you will have to progress through this difficult platforming section to reach the central part of Eastern Underworks, where you can find the Clawline ability.

Head back up to the bench and jump up to find a grapple point you can harpoon and make your way to the NPC’s room. Inside, you will find the Twelfth Architect who is selling several Tools, as well as the Architect Key for 110 Rosaries.

It is important to note that purchasing the key requires you to have a certain number of tools in your inventory. The number of tools you are missing will be displayed when you try to buy the key.

How to Get the Architect Crest in Silksong

With the key in your possession, head right of the NPC, and there should be a lever that you can hit to open the door. Head up and turn left to find a second lever that you can hit, which puts you in an area above the Twelfth Architect. Jump and dash to the left side, hit the third lever, and head through the passage to find a locked gate bearing the symbol of an Architect. Use the key to open it and head inside the Chapel of the Architect. Unlike other chapels, where you have to deal with a boss or multiple enemies, this chapel doesn't harbor any enemies. You can simply go over and claim the Architect Crest, which will require you to use your Bind.

The Architect Crest has 3 Red, 2 Blue, 2 Yellow, and 0 White slots. You can press up Circle/B on your controller to spend Silk and craft new tools. The normal and charged attacks for the Crest are also different, as they look like screws that can shred foes.
