What Are Memory Lockets For In Silksong?

Silksong Upgrade Crest Get More Tool Slots Memory Locket Item Description

In Silksong, Memory Lockets are used to increase the number of Tool notches on your Crest. Each Crest in Silksong has a certain number of colored notches that can be slotted with tools of the same color. You can't place a yellow Tool into a red slot, for example.

Every crest has a certain number of locked notches. When you use a Memory Locket, you can unlock one of these notches to get an additional slot for Tools and other equippables.

Every Crest has a different arrangement of colors and slots. The Beast Crest, for example, almost exclusively features red slots, while the starting Hunter Crest has a more balanced arrangement. With a Memory Locket, you can unlock a yellow slot on the Beast Crest or an additional slot for each color on the starting Hunter's Crest.

Where To Get Memory Lockets in Silksong

Silksong Memory Locket locations vary. Like Charm Notches in Hollow Knight, Memory Lockets can be found all over the world, including in some vendor inventories.

There is one hidden at the far right end of the Hunter's March, on the way to the entrance to the Chapel of the Beast, for example. Another can be found in Pilgrim's Rest at the top of the Far Fields, where Mort will offer it for 150 Rosaries (in addition to the 30 Rosary cost of entry).

Take time to comb through every area as you explore Pharloom to find more Memory Lockets and unlock more Crest slots to equip more Tools and other items.

How To Use Memory Lockets In Silksong

To use a Memory Locket, you must be sitting at a bench – generally speaking, you must always be sitting at a bench to customize or swap out equipment in Silksong. Open your inventory, then scroll over to the Crest tab.

Here, highlight each unlockable socket on the Crest of your choice to see the color of each locked slot. For example, to equip a yellow Tool, you must unlock a locked yellow slot with your Memory Locket.

When you are ready to commit to using a Memory Locket, Silksong players should hold down the Interact input (A / X) while highlighting the slot. The locket will be consumed, and you'll have successfully expanded your Crest slots in Silksong!
